Re: Thread about nothing
If I call my mother and wish her happy anniversary a month early because I am going out of town for the real day, does it still count or do I have to send a card or try to remember on vacation to call?

Re: Thread about nothing
i'm assuming your asking the women cause i barely remember my own birthday. but in my opinion early at least shows you have thought about it and care enough that you didn't wanna miss it.
and thanks, i forgot my parents anniversary is next week!

Send the card, but please. make the effort to call, it's only a few minutes out of one of many vacations,

Re: Thread about nothing
how many times have you driven around a parking lot waiting for a closer spot to open, when you could have walked from the back of the lot with ease in the same time?

Re: Thread about nothing
I always park sideways , as far out as possible, and laugh at the people driving around looking for a spot, they even do it at nautilus, then go in to exercise, just get some exercise by walking a few feet farther.

I park midway or even further back. I'm healthy enough to walk, those that aren't can have the front spaces

Yes, you have to send a card so she gets it a few days before the anniversary. Its not the card or the call, its the effort that counts. Get someone else to send it for you.

If someone else sends the card, does it still count if I have them buy it, sign it for me and mail it? I mean it is still my thought even though someone else does all the work? right?

Re: Thread about nothing
I wonder if there is any sort of "perpetual card delivery service" I could sign up for. Some sort of organization that sends the proper card (each year different) on birthdays, holidays, anniversaries, and Mothers day and Father's day each year. That way I could just have the thought once and cover a lifetime!

Re: Thread about nothing
my brother and i and kevin used to go to this place called "the golden rock show lounge" they had this great drink called the blue moon. i know it had pineapple juice in it, and a fire on top.
saw some great bands play there. paul revere and the raider(there was only one left by then), the ink spots, the swallows (it ain't the meat, it's the motion). once i almost saw gary puckett naked.
is this a blue moon story?

now dont be so dismissive about mythology, it served our ancesters so well for many moons, we could learn a lot from our forefathers beliefs, the answers my friend are already here, we have lost so much of what they learned.

believe me, I love the druidic mythos. The Norse had great gods. The greeks had the sexiest gods of all. and the american indian's animal gods were as good a choice as any offered by modern religion. (i was just struck by lightning)

The natives in this country knew all that we ever needed to know. Doesn't matter if it all is explained in colorful legends and myths or it's explained scientifically and mathematical, the truth is the same... "don't eat those mushrooms, preserve your harvest cuz winters here are a fucking bitch, chewing, smoking, drinking weeds can be beneficial.etc...." but the arrogant first settles thought that if they knew one thing for sure, it's that the natives are stupid and savage.

Always trust the natives knowlegde, whether you think their loin cloths and penis gourds are silly and savage or not. I've heard allot of the first Europeon settlers died just because mushrooms in the new America, looked just like the one they ate back home, but they weren't.
