Can you tell if a woman is actually having an orgasm or faking it? Have you ever been suspicious that a lover may be faking?

Any guy who says it's never been done to hime is certainly being less than truthful. I consider myself a good lover, putting her before me, taking my time, finding her sensual spots, being very oral , etc. But sometimes no matter how much you try, it isn't going to happen. The times that I've thought about it was when I have had familiarity with her orgasms, the sounds, the breathing, the body movements, etc. I have never been told that it was a fake and I've never asked, but I have wondered to myself when several of these seem to have been changed. I figured she was doing her best to try to please me, and if she wanted to fake it to please me, why should I put her on the spot by asking. To me that's why it is very important to always do my best to please her. Hopefully she knows that.

guys, let me tell you one thing.
Faking is a sign that the woman really does like you. She wants you to feel that you have done well and to let you know that even if she did not have an orgasm, that she did enjoy the sex.
You should worry more about the ones that run to the shower the second you finish or run to brush their teeth and wash up.

Here is a serious question I'd really like an answer to:
Does the lack of vaginal contractions indicate no orgasm? I've learned from experience that every woman is different in their genitalia and have come to realize that some clitoia get hard, others seem to be absent, while many play hide and seek (buggers!). I've been with woman who've had more than one child who are still quite firm down there while others are not, etc.
I thought that contractions always indicated orgasm, and in fact they occur more rapidly than one can fake via kegels. Even men's contractions show up in the anus. But I've been spending time with a very nice lady and she is wondefully vocal and passionatly demonstrative (which is a turn on for me) yet I cannot feel any contractions.
What gives?

I've checked a few of my favorite resource/reference sites, and vaginal contractions can vary for different types of orgasms and for different women. Some claim that a blush or flushing in the face and chest are an indicator, as are erect nipples.So I guess there is no difinite way of telling. If you strongly suspect she's faking, and you are comfortable enough with each other, just ask!

Thanks Chazzy. Well, it does sound like there is no definitive way for a man to tell if a woman's orgasm is real then. No, I can't ask... If she's faking then she will just lie, and if she's not then I don't want to accuse her.
