What I've learned...
...from watching "CSI"
Vegas, Miami, New York....whatever....name something, anything, that you have learned from watching "CSI"

I have learned to never keep the shoes and clothing I've worn during a crime and to always thoroughly burn it all and dispose of the ashes carefully....

The things I've learned, I've learned from watching my kids. Certain things like....... there's a little ghost in our house and its name is "not me!"

Tons more, but my mind is just swimming with things like that....... can't get 'em all straight at the moment

Am I the only person who thinks that the writers for CSI Miami totally suck. Horatio is the worst character because his dialogue with the other characters is so lame. Grissom on the other hand is a much more intersting character from CSI vegas

Re: What I've learned...
Why don't ya'll just completely elliminate the evidence, dump the body in an old abandoned well, a couple of bags of lime on top of that with a little water to get it activated & in 2 weeks there won't be nothing to find. Lime is potent shit, I've had the skin ate off my fingers & knees in 2 hours from working concrete with a lot of lime in it. Or read some of the books about the 1935 flood on the Republican River called "BLUFF TO BLUFF", & see what lime did to some of those people in just a few days. Chazzy, you like history, you ought to check those out, not to many happy endings in those stories that people wrote about that flood

Yes, and make sure you use a paper shreader that crosscuts and also make sure to burn the shreadings and seperate the burned things. I remember from years ago that there is a way to read what is not seperated after burning.

Of course I should know about burning

Re: What I've learned...
When using duct tape in a crime, use what you need for the specific crime, then properly dispose of the roll, DO NOT put the unused portion of duct tape back in your garage or tool box....this is not something you want to be frugal about!

Re: What I've learned...
To make sure if you use matches, to make sure you also completely dispose of the entire book. They can tell from the matchbook if you are left or right handed. Probably much more than that. Fingerprints come to mind.

of course it's about fire

Well, speakng of fire....never leave burning evidence unattended and just walk away, stay and supervise to make sure that every little bit is completely consumed by the fire.

I'm with you. The writing does freakin' suck. If I see Horatio tilt his head one more time. I'll put my foot through my Toshiba HI-DEF DLP. That's how annoyed I am. If it wasn't for the beautiful scenery, I wouldn't watch the show. His character is way to fuckin' smart to be believable. His chracter on NYPD BLUE, was great and he portrayed it just right. And now CSI MIAMI ?? Shit-tayyyyyyy

Writing is everything!!!!!

So feel free to contribute to the thread with any information you've gleamed from any crime shows...
mention anything that makes you scream "What a moron!!" at the TV

Re: What I've learned...
know this is a bit but since we're talking about CSI's. I remember watching one show where they had these people who were into this.. I think it'd go under the category (correct me if i'm wrong) bdsm??

What it was, was this couple was with this chick who decided she would wear this black leather oufit and get in front of the ford pickup, on this thing that would hold her upside down.. and had an apple in her mouth. (don't remember entirely what happened with the couple in the vehicle.. got into an argument or something along that line...) The guy was driving and started speeding and the chick was watching herself to the deathbed because they ran into a tree.

I know its just a show.. but if they'd do something like that on tv... how many would actually do it in real life?? I don't think i could do that, ever. I'm not one to do things like that... but I would not have enough trust from ANYONE to do that.

I remember that show, not real sure of the whole story line. I'll have to try and finish watching season 4, to see if it's there. And yes, if dumb ass froot loop see's it on TV, they will act it out in real life, there's always one or two.
