Why is it not okay for a guy to be a Virgin but it is okay for a woman to be one

I believe that's because the thought is, it's manly for guy's to sleep around, but we still hold on to the notion that women are ladies and not ladies of the night.  best I could come up with on lack of coffee in system.

That is soooooooo true! I grew up with 6 older brothers. When they "got some" (for lack of a better term), it was always, "way to go!" Heaven forbid I ever "get some!" I'd be a little tramp! 
Which, by the way, I want everyone to know that I am still a virgin. I have no idea where the hell these kids came from. Stork brought 'em, I think

Only men think men are supposed to be sexually experienced in order to be proper men. I never cared and never put the emphasis on virginity that men do.
Perhaps they want women to be virgins - so that the women won't know just how bad the men really are in bed.
