Credit card fraud
I had a phone call a while ago.It was a lady questioning me about credit cards. At first I believed she worked for that company but some of the questions she asked were kinda weird. Then when she found out I had a pre-paid card she lost intrest and let me go.Was that an attemp to obtain more info on me to use my #?

Re: Credit card fraud
Sure sounds just like it...the local media here has made several reports about a rash of scams that fit your description.

Re: Credit card fraud
Most likely you are correct.
If I get a call like that and it is not a place I have dealt with , I make them go away.
This is no different from the phishing on a 'puter.
Be very careful my friend!!!!

Re: Credit card fraud
Most likely, she was phishing for information - either to steal your account or to open a new one in your name...
The prepaid card - ruins her plan, no credit rating or credit to steal.
