Women's Tattoos
My best friend (female), just got a tattoo on her lower back. It's of a small butterfly. I was against her spoiling my view with any kind of tattoo. It's well above her coin slot, and actually, it was very tastefully done.
She is a lawyer, so she naturally, kept it low key.
God forbid, she didn't get the trailer trash "tramp stamp"!!!!!
I'm sure there are a few of you who totally disgree and some who support my contention. WELL??????

I want a butterfly tatoo actually too.. but i cant decide where... so i think its cute.. Im proud of her..it will take me a lot more to finally do it.. i dont agree with ones that cover themselves with tatoos all over, but one cute butterfly or flower should look very sexy and cute...

I can think of a few places where a small tatoo would do you justice. I am volunteering to go with you to the tattoo parlor and hold your hand and direct the artist where exactly to place them.

Re: Women's Tattoos
Ma has a tattoo of a butterfly on her shoulder. The first time we went she got just butterfly and it was small and dainty. The second time we went back, she added to the butterfly, it didn't make it much bigger, but add the Little touch of more elegance. Now she wants to get another one on her other shoulder and one on each boob. Nothing large but possibly a small rose or something.

Re: Women's Tattoos
I think tattoos are fine, I really like the way some people mark important milestones in thier life with them, or when every tattoo has some special and personal meaning.
As for me personally, I prefer to use temporarys, and only wear one when I want, I would consider the henna(?)tattoos that are longer lasting than the temps.

I would have the artist put the tattoo on one of your beautiful butt cheeks. That way, it would be hidden, except when I lifted your skirt a bit. Just perfect, a small butterfly or flower on a gorgeous butt. Ummm, yummy!!!!!!!!!

Re: Women's Tattoos
Chazzy, I heard that henna is bad for you. They used to do them at Scarborough Faire but had to quit because of health reasons.
As for tattoos, I could care less what anyone thinks of 'em. If I want to get my whole body covered, I will. Doesn't make me a bad person. If people want to think I am, more power to 'em! I get my tattoos because they mean something special to me. I don't go for "flash" that the artists puts up on the wall. Most tattoo artists will try to talk a drunk person out of getting a tattoo merely because they know they're doing it without thinking about it and will regret it in the morning!
Take the time to think about what the tattoo means to you. What it symbolizes. If it looks like shit 30 years down the road because of aging, I don't care! I'll still love it and remember why it's there

Re: Women's Tattoos
Didn't sound bitchy to me...I hadn't seen anything recently on henna tattoos, although if I were to seriously consider getting one, I would definitly research the crap out of it before going for it!
Hey, I love the show "Inked" on the A and E channel, anyone else watch that one?

I watch that show too, chazzy. They're new season is startin' up. And that's another point, emka. You definitely need to research an artists work before you get one! Make sure they can do the job right and make you happy.... Hmmmm, that not only applies to tattoo artists, huh?

Re: Women's Tattoos
There has only been one tatoo on a woman that I thought was stupid...She had it in the same place as the butterfly in the first mention, except it was a sign that read, "Insert Here". It was followed up with an arrow pointing down... I just thought that was dumb, as she would have to carry that one around for the rest of her life...

The "permanent" ones can be removed by laser surgery. You'll still have a mark left where the tattoo was, but the ink will be removed and for all intents and purposes, never to be seen again.

Never to be seen again, yes, except a nasty lookin' scar. Which is much better than a shitty tattoo, I guess. And I heard that it hurts a lot worse to get one removed than it does to get one....... anyone know for sure?

Re: Women's Tattoos
I can tell you this about tats, I have nothing against anyone who wants one. In my case, I have two that I wish I hadn't done. It seemed like a great idea when I bought my first Harley & started hanging with bikers. Now that I run a const. company in a small town, some of the old school people kinda look down on that stuff, at least the type of tat that I have in plain sight on my forearms. Also Chazzy is right about researching the people that do the tats. I have a friend that got a couple of tats in memory of her brother who died in a bike accident. The guy that put them on could draw very nicely, but couldn't spell worth a damn!! One of the tats reads, " Terry Rids Forever" & the other reads " Ride Heard- Die Free"

Re: Women's Tattoos
I hate tattoos, I think they look cheap, degrading, and are somewhat of a neon sign for insecure people to advertise their wanting bodies, I don't think that there is anything sexy about them at all, especially when you mature and want to get it removed. The body always has to suffer for what the mind cant comprehend, just like smoking, and drugs.

Re: Women's Tattoos
I think the worst one I ever saw is the one I saw at a biker rally in Menoken Grove, North Dakota. A biker chick had one on her crotch that was a yellow caution sign that said "SLIPPERY WHEN WET" what happens when she gets married & has kids, even worse the doctor that delivers that kid.

Henna is natural and absolutely safe. Infact some people here use henna more that thrice a week. On wedding days, girls get henna tattoos on their palms (right upto their arms sometimes) and it looks pretty cute.
Offcourse I dunno "what" they're passing off as henna in the US, like the "SHIT" they call mangoes there and cost a fortune exported from here is actually a BIG SHIT tasting mango.

I have a tattoo - small and relatively plain. It was a lesbian thing - mandatory sort of. I think I was drunk too.
I won't get another, but I don't mind the one I have.
