Mule jumping and applebutter
What kind of annual festivals and events do you have in your area? Anything unique to your region?
I live in a very rural area, so the festival, events, and "shows" usually revolve around something farmy, like tractors, livestock, and crops. We have the "Thresher's associations" yearly three day event, tahe annual Applebutter festival, Mule jumping shows, and if you wanna take a scenic drive up north of the county, there's a "Wine fest" every where you look, always with allot of cajun and bluegrass music.

So how far of a running start does one get to jump over a mule?

Re: Mule jumping and applebutter
Just about every town up here has there annual celebration. So there's almost one every weekend. Above that there is the annual rodeo for one of the area fire dept., We also have a thrashing show that includes the old vintage machinery. A little farther north and east in Wisc. they have their water skip, driving snowmobiles on the water and see how far they get, but that's more towards the end of winter. We have the celebration of the lakes, in the winter there's ice fishing contest, hot air balloons, and the likes. There's wings and wheels, Aircraft and vintage auto show.
There's so many it's hard to keep track of them all.

Re: Mule jumping and applebutter
Mule jumping is not jumping over the mule, it's the mule that does the jumping! Mules are extrodinary jumpers, even from a standing start....but if Moon and Deye wanna come visit here and try jumping over a Mule or two, we start a new festival just for that!

That sounds alot like "ONE SMALL STEP FOR MAN, ONE GIANT LEAP FOR MANKIND" By the way CHAZZY, if you like Bluegrass, there is a Kickass Festival in Winefeild Kans. in Sept. Lots of famous artists got their start there. But here in BEAVER CITY, we have applefest, Swedish days , German Fest, & a little town near us has Holbrook days, which is a 3 day drunk with activities & music, & most important RIVER RAT VOLLEYBALL, which is played in the river, ( The Republican River) at sometime during the games there is always someone who jumps up & loses some artical of their clothing, myself included, I lost my cutoffs one & it took 10 minutes & my entire team to find them again

Re: Mule jumping and applebutter
Mules & donkeys have pretty accurate kicks, as well! If you've got livestock, it's always good to have a mule or donkey to protect them
