When you and the one you love don't see eye to eye...
How do you handle it? Do you talk, yell, break things, sulk, what? When you know that one thing that you have always disagreed about might begin to come between you and your heart aches because it is the only thing that comes between you and it's called their job (not my job, but his).

I'm sorry Pepper. Been going through the same think here. My job sucks and has no future and have been perusing another line of work, but it's tough out there. 31 years of doing the family business is all I know! Anyway it has caused serious damage to my marriage which I drought is repairable, so I really know what your feeling. Were to the point of existing in the same house and trying to keep the kids happy, but as far as 'us' there isn't' much good anymore.  It seems that money is more important then being a loving and giving father and husband these days. It's true what they say Nice guys finish last.
I hope things work out for you sweetie and I'm here if you need someone to talk to or a shoulder to cry on

and I thought I was the only one with this problem...there is nothing worse than feeling totally alone with someone...the same someone who used to be your best friend, partner, companion...when and if you guys figure out a solution...let me know

thank you all, very much for letting me vent. Honestly, it's not the easiest job in the world (being a bailbondsman) nor is it the most safe. As I found out firsthand this morning. It has never really been something that I liked, but I love him, so I live with it. But I think it's time for a change. I hate violence and confrontation, his job has that in one form or another every day. There has alwys been scuffles to it, He was bound to get seriously hurt, sooner or later, it just pisses me off that he missed the signs and did get hurt.
and the change I mean, is another job, not an absence of one or the other from our life, although I was worried it might go that way earlier, because he does love it and is very good at it. The one thing I am proud of is, he may have gotten hurt, but he still brought the guy in. then collapsed from bloodloss, the dork

I know what your saying. I worry every day Pa goes to work. His job is not the best either. I have gotten better, I don't worry as much anymore when he is late. We are lucky because we can talk,and that helps.

I know exactly what pepper is saying. I also have a job the runs some of the same risks. There have been people that worked that same job for 25 yrs, and never had anything happen. And then there's those unlucky few that have only worked a short time, and it's all over. Most of those never come back to work, but some will. I always have it in my mind that I may never leave work but in a body bag, but I also know that those chances are very slim. In our history there has never been anyone that has died because of some that happened at work. But there have been some cases of kidnapping, rape, good kick ass beatings, etc... But that is some thing that we never dwell on, and always try to be prepared for the unexpected, and use our training to guide us.

You and Warren are hopelessly in love, so with that going on you'll work out a compromise of some sort!

you're right Chazzy, we did. I wouldn't ask him to close a business or give it up that it took so much time and effort to develop, even before he met me, but he did promise me that he would not do the skips anymore, he will either hire someone else to do them or hire them out. That's all I really wanted.
And you are absolutely right in that we are hopelessly in love so it wasn't easy to work it out, but we did and that's all that counts. I would not be the same person without him, now that I have him, nor he, without me.
but that doesn't mean we don't like to have our sexy fun together!
