I guess it could be the same for VIP members, when the VIP member's subscription expires, they will continue their VIP membership for another 6 months for free...

Yep... some good points made there by the Lev's....since the forums are one of the most popular features of ANY site, I'd hate to see allot of people logging in, seeing a bunch of "nothing"....then logging right back out again!

My opinon, just keep things the way they have been, part of the 50,000 has included and  , so just leave things as they are. Don't start making exceptions for future posts, other wise then you should really not count the previous ones. Let's keep it simple.

I agree with funlovingpair on that, I don't think there's an easy way to say what is a post with "meaning" and a post without one... if someone agrees with my post and posts a "I agree with PP on that matter" instead of a "me2" would that count as a post? And then, practically someone would actually have to read all 50000 posts and say which ones are actual posts and which are just crap... so just let things be!!!
