Too complicated
Is it only me or anyone else that feels the same?
When i visit chat room  , most of the conversations sound so complicated  (complicated words and sentences) that I cant figure out the topic. So, who knows what am I talking about? Could that be the thing that Im not american and I don't understand the "old saing" yet or what?

What is your native language?
We want you to feel like a part of this site, so if the chat thing is frustrating to you right now, stick with the forums, go through the topics, and give us your opinion on some of the threads that interest you, we would love to hear what you have to say, and get to know you better.
Meanwhile, we'll work with you on the chatroom to make it less complicated and frustrating for you!!

not sure it has anything to do with language.. or at least english. i've stopped in twice this week when rather big crowds were in chat and sat there dumbfounded for like 5 minutes before deciding I just wasnt going to understand what was being said.

I could send you a few links that list all the known abbreviations and slang used in chatrooms and messengers, but there are pages and pages of them! If the slang and abbrevialtions make it difficult for you in chat... just let the chatters know, I am very certain that they will be happy to drop the slang and such so they can enjoy your company as well!!!

I agree with Chazzy just go where you feel comfortable right now. The chat room is hard to keep up on the conversation , thats one reason I very rarely go in.

Don't feel bad, I'm sure that once I'm able to get there, I too will have the same problem, not understanding some of the lingo that they use. It will be a learning experience for me to.

they only do that to try to sound smart... (which is something that i'd do every now and then.. especially with those who are smarter than moi).. if you get lost and stuff.. not knowing what they're talking about.. just be all, "you know what hooch, i have no idea what youre talking about.. so tell me!" Well... in a nice way...

I dont think so...may be that more than one conversation is going on at a time. I hate it when you answer a question and it shows up 6 lines down the page.

Its not that bad bafton, you still get an answer, right. I hate it when you asked question and answer would not show up at all. 
But this, barely happens, only when there are 20 ppl, and if all of them are pretty active u have to wait 20 lines. Now this sucks!
