Is it safe?
There is a Sexually Transmitted Virus (STV) that condoms
do not protect against.
It is possible to transmit this virus without any penetration
at all, as it is housed in the genital skin around the pubic
area as well as inside the sensitive areas of the genitals.
This virus often has absolutely NO effect on men and most
men and women have no symptoms. Men will never know that
they have it (except in rare cases) unless their partner
has had an abnormal pap smear.
This STV is THE CAUSE of cervical cancer.
Anyone have a guess?
This virus is Human Papilloma Virus and you'll be surprised
how many people have it. According to the Center for Disease
Control, "Approximately 20 million people are currently
infected with HPV. At least 50 percent of sexually active
men and women acquire genital HPV infection at some point
in their lives. By age 50, at least 80 percent of women will
have acquired genital HPV infection. About 6.2 million
Americans get a new genital HPV infection each year."
Scary isn't it?
Well, ladies, I have good news and a bit of bad news as well.
If you visit your doctor for your pap smear every year, you
will never have to worry about getting Cervical cancer.
Since HPV is the only cause of cervical cancer, annual paps
can keep you from ever developing the advanced stages of
HPV that cause this cancer.
Here's the bit of bad news- since men do not know whether
or not they carry the virus, you run the risk EVERY TIME YOU
HAVE SEX WITH A NEW PARTNER of contracting a very serious
strain of the virus.
The bottom line, know what the risks are. As always, realize
the risks of activities, go for your annual pap smear, and
don't blindly depend on condoms to do the work for you.
If you have any other questions, please refer to the Center
for Disease Control's website!

Re: Is it safe?
Some more facts for you guys!.....
1) Not using a condom can lead to pregnancy and/or disease
2) YES, you can catch Herpes, HPV (genital warts), HIV and
other diseases from fellatio (blow jobs) and cunnilingus
(pussy eating)EVEN if the person doesn't ejaculate
(cum).
3) All of the above can occur the FIRST TIME you do it
4) Saran wrap is definitely not a substitute for a condom!!
5) You cannot judge a person's sexual health on whether
or not they have clean fingernails or shave their pubic
hair into neat little designs!!
6) It is not rude to ask a potential sex partner 's past
history before getting down and dirty...It is your RIGHT
to know and their obligation to be honest and tell you!
7) Pick up a book and educate yourselves on good sexual health...and
when in doubt, just don't do it.
