Points and Laughs*
QUOTE (IMCarter @ January 24, 2006, 13:44)LOL...I knew I liked you kb...oh those dangling participles, those sentences ending in prepositions and the oft misuse of contractions! LOL
(wipes tears of laughter away from my eyes)
Your use of the internet abomination "LOL" twice in one post is (to me)equivalent to a declaration of war.
Well done.

And I thought I made good use of it, bracketing the post. Sometime art is simply not appreciated.

Sometimes, art is simply unappreciated.
"Sometime art" would indicate that your writings are to be considered art only part of the time, and the rest of the time the are?
You also began your sentence with a conjunction which was unnecessary, and rather improper (if I do say so myself (and I do)).

QUOTE (kbateman @ January 22, 2006, 17:18) QUOTE (boredcountryboy @ January 22, 2006, 17:14)I knew that was one of your favorites. I was hoping for detention though.
This sentence would be more correctly written as follows:
I knew that was one of your favourites, though I was hoping for detention.
In my example, the word though is properly placed and both verbs are past tense.
Your spelling of the word "favourites" would be proper only if you are English. Are you English? I do not believe you are English. I am told you are Lesbian. I say that with a grin, and by doing so, I avoid using a "smiley."

Whilst I may live in America, my family is indeed descended from English bloodstock, thus I have the right to choose from either dictionary. I am able to look down on people just as well as the the best of the U.K.
