Stupid question here...
We have seen on a lot of profiles Married ( open marriage )...Can someone please enlighten me on exactly how it is an open marriage if your partner doesn't even know that you belong to this site or what exactly you do here??? I am not trying to be an airhead here...but apparently, my meaning of open marriage is completely different. Just wondering...

My ideer of an Open Marriage is when your wife dosen't have sex with you anymore, so your 'open' for someone else. Or maybe it could be because your dick isn't in her, so she open?

Oh we are definately not an open marriage ...I have no doubts there. I just think it is interesting how a lot of people say that they have an " open marriage " but their partner would probably be pretty pissed if they knew what the other was up to...that is for the ones that are hiding this site from their "loved" one...

Re: Stupid question here...
My understanding of "open" marriage is one in which either partner may have sex outside of the partnership, although normally with approval of the spouse. I have never heard of one that works in the long term, usually because one partner or the other spends all of their time screwing someone other than the spouse, and the spouse sits home pining just as in any normal relationship.
I have a hard time considering what I do on this site to be cheating, as nobody actually has a chance of getting beyond the "game" stage. I am monogamous, but playful. Websex isn't cheating any more than the hugs we exchange with our friends, it is just masturbation.
I realise this may not hold true for others.

I have never been in an open marriage , But to me it would be , where you are open to each other, about what you do on the side. and both agree .thats my 2 cents.

Re: Stupid question here...
Thats funny you point that out...because I've always thought that a lot of "open marriages" just may not be as open as the moniker suggests! there is always swinging , with rules, and set and setting, but just a free for all would seem tough to navigate? to me, anyway...But than again, If you love someone set them free, right...? to many viewpoints.

I wasn't the least bit interested in adult personals or online cyber relationships, my husband encouraged me in this direction.(He just wanted me to find a hobby so that I wouldn't annoy him while he plays his marathon online computer game "Battlefield" that is hopelessly addicted to) I would not be here, or have online contacts at all that he didn't know about, cuz I suck at lying....and I mean I really SUCK SUCK SUCK at it! I suck so bad at it, I won't even think about trying....

I do believe there are actually people on here that this type of thing works out well for them...but I have also found that there are a lot of people that say they have an open marriage when indeed they do not. It makes it hard to trust who you are talking with sometimes...you know what I mean?

Re: Stupid question here...
j:j TY - it was not a stupid question - i have gotten some mail from some men who have that and then you start asking questions and it is not my idea of open. I don't want anything to do with another man or woman if they are actually cheating on their significant other.

Re: Stupid question here...
Warren and I do not have an "open" marriage. We are married period. We play together, outside of those bonds, but always together. We can take it or leave it. There's no sneaking around, no jealousy, no "well, I like him" or "Well, I like her" if the other parner does not like them.
If we are going to play with another couple, we have to like them enough to want to be friends with them, or nothing happens. If it's a single person for a 3some .gif">, same thing. If it's a guy or a girl and I don't like him/her, that's it. He has the same veto power.
Fun is the point of the whole thing. We don't play because there is something missing between us, we play because we enjoy sex , and having a lot of it, whether it's just us or, three people or 4 people.
