She didn't speak any English...
A German woman married a Canadian guy and they lived happily in his home town. She didn't speak English but was able to communicate well enough with her husband.
The real problems arose whenever she had to shop for groceries. One day she went to the butcher counter in the supermarket and wanted to chicken legs. She didn't know how to get him to understand her request. In desperation, she clucked like a chicken and lifted up her skirt to show her thighs. Her butcher got the message and gave her the chicken legs.
Next day she needed to get chicken breasts. Again she didn't know how to say it, so she clucked like a chicken and unbuttoned her blouse and showed the butcher her breasts.
The butcher understood again and gave her chicken breasts.
On the third trip, she wanted sausages. Unable to figure out how to communicate this, she brought her husband to the store.
