Today is a Big Day in History!
A total solar eclipse will occur on Monday, August 21, 2017. The event has been described as the "Great American Eclipse" as it will be visible in totality only within a band across the entire contiguous United States passing from the Pacific to the Atlantic coast. In other countries, it was only visible as a partial eclipse.
I don't know about you? It rained at the time of the eclipse. Other locals were able to video and photo the eclipse.
I know last night there was still a run on the protective eclipse glasses. They began to sell for $2. than $5. $10, $25. up to one ad for $1,000.
Not to fear. The next eclipse is set for 2024.

Re: Today is a Big Day in History!
It was a historic day in Oregon as a total solar eclipse swept across the state and stunned millions of people.
Oregon was the first state to catch a glimpse of the mesmerizing moment. Totality began in Lincoln City at 10:16 a.m, in Salem a minute later, and in Madras two minutes after that. The partial eclipse lasted for about two-and-a-half hours.

Re: Today is a Big Day in History!
I live in Florida and it rained. I saw clouds. Many shared their pictures and videos. If all goes well, I will be here for the eclipse in 2024 and 2045.

Saw it through a heavy veil of smoke from the forest fires......didn't even need glasses.
