Re: RIO
I did. Track, Gymnastics, Volleyball and a flock of others. Rain, rain and more rain. Great performances, especially the diving... As it comes only every few years, it is something to enjoy with people giving their best. You are not alone!

Re: RIO
The syncronized swimming was very interesting. Very fast movements. I watched a little diving. Not my favorite event. Years, and years ago, my first time ever watchibg a dive competition, the young diver hit his head on the board. Dead in the water. So sad!

Re: RIO
The Olympics has gotten disappointing . The whole thing has become political and crooked. I was an athlete.I also know athletes that tried out and even went to the Olympics. It has changed. It's lost its meaning to me. I want to see athletes compete on a FAIR AND NON POLITICAL playing field. They never should have even had the Olympics in Rio. Shame on the Olympic committee for allowing that.I do applaud those athletes who did it right. Those who did it clean and worked hard. Those who left politics out of it. They need to clean up sports all across the board. It's disgusting what is happening. Even as young as preschool there are kids being put under ridiculous schedules that are not in the athletes best interest just so some coach or even country can say we have the best. I've seen it first hand. It makes me sick.I've seen them push unhealthy habits and even drugs saying that they are never to tell that the coach told them to use this. Them they teach them how to pass drug tests. I couldn't begin to tell you how bad it is in some sports. Some athletes have tried to get some of the practices fixed. For example they have tried to get the guidelines for gymnastics changed after most well known gymnasts came out with the truth of what was happening. But unfortunately a little to little a little to late. The whole system is a disaster!
