On A Traiin
The gentleman is riding on an English train and his seat companion notices his American accent and asks if this is his first trip to England. He admits it is not, that he was stationed in Sussex, during the war. At that, the gentleman near the window, obviously somewhat deaf, asks, "Wot did 'e sigh?"
"E said he was 'ere during the wah, E was stationed in Sussex."
Then he asked if he new friend had ever been to Windemere Castle, and he admitted that he and a friend had rented a car and had two weeks to drive through England and they had spent two nights at Windemere Castle, "So nice and quite and peaceful, the flowers were so....."
"Wot did e sigh?"
"E's bin to Windemere Castle!"
"Did you ever met Lady Windemere?"
The visitor smiles, "You mean that old alcoholic that staggered around the grounds all day long trying to shack up with every American serviceman she could find?"
"Wot did e sigh?"
"E says e knows MOTHAH!"
