Everything you do...Everything you experience without that person by your side, is spent wishing they where there with you.
You accept them with their flaws , and baggage ,and view it as part of the package, when in fact normally, you'd find those things really annoying from anyone else.
When a threat comes in form of another suitor, or a bullet, your natural instinct is too step in front of the assault and shield them, disregarding your own welfare for the moment.

When you want him to be part of everything in your life. When you find things he does funny that most others find totally inappropriate. When even doing the most mundane things together seems fun just because you are together. When things are going really tough in your life you feel like you can deal with it if you were just with that person. Just being with him lowers your stress level and makes you feel like you can take on the world.When you find yourself being excited that he will be home soon. Knowing that he puts up with all your craziness and thinks its funny or at least blows it off rather than tries to change you.
I used to think there was a person that "got away" in my life then I met this person and realized that this is the real guy I was meant to be with.This is the first time I ever felt that way. I used to wonder if the other guy came back and said let's get back together (we stayed friends) what I would do. I don't question it anymore. I know I would stay exactly with who I am with, without question.

How often are your girlfriends endangered from a bullet? I may have to rethink this relationship?

Well.....Come to think of it, I've not had a shell shot in my direction this entire year.
Of course it is only August.
