Honoring Our Fathers
Tomorrow is Father's Day. I know some of us still have our Father's in our lives, some do not.
If you'd like to take a moment and honor your Father?

Re: Honoring Our Fathers
My Father was almost forty by the time I was born. I have great video of him carrying me around.
What I remember most about my Dad is he always talked to me. If I did something wrong, he just said a few words. Like when I was 7 and wanted to run away from home. Or, a teenager caught on the back of a motorcycle. And, drinking at a young age.
I remember if I ever left him standing somewhere, when I returned he was TALKING TO SOMEBODY!
He taught me to drive. He taught me to smile and laugh. He told me, "I brought you up to be a lady". He taught me values. He was giving to everyone. He had the biggest heart of anyone I know. Not a perfect man, but he was MY DAD!

Re: Honoring Our Fathers
I sure miss my dad...he was the kind of man that just couldn't do enough for others, I miss him making me grilled cheese sandwich everytime I walked in the door... I miss the way he would react to every puppy, kitten and baby he encountered, I miss so much about him

Re: Honoring Our Fathers
I miss my dad to but some of his ways I don't miss at all. He was the best horseman I ever saw, he could get a horse to do anything but some of his methods I would never use.
He was a man of his word If he said he was going to do something by God he did it. My sister called me at the ranch and said you better come down, Dad said he is going to die. I was the last of his six to get there, he wanted to see my dog.
He made over the dog more than he did us kids but two hours later he was dead. True to his word.
