Memorial Day...!
Remember..
Almighty God, we pause once again to remember our honored and valiant departed; their sacrifice of life has enabled us to continue to live in freedom. Heavenly Father, keep their families in Your care. Bless and comfort them always.
Let us be reminded of life, liberty, justice, freedom, and democracy. May the faith of our fathers guide, protect, and sustain us forevermore.
Amen

Re: Memorial Day...!
Heroes are ordinary people with hearts of steel. Their courage, determination and will power made them rise as sentinels of peace and liberty. On this Memorial Day Holiday, salute those brave-hearts who lay down their life defending their nation.
Have a fun & safe Memorial Day Weekend....

i'll probably get together with my sisters that live in town, and go visit mom and dad at the cemetery. dad was a Private First Class in the U.S. Army during WW II. he never really spoke much about his time in the service. although i seem to recall him sleeping through an earthquake while he was stationed in Japan, and then there's the story of his time in Texas during boot camp. they were doing drills, and had to crawl under some barbed wired and if the drill sergeant saw any body parts appear above the wires, they shot live ammo rounds at them. the guy in front of my dad was shot in the arm, because as they were crawling through the maze of wires, a rattlesnake slithered in front of him, and his first reaction was to jump back...i don't know if it's even legal to shoot live ammo at someone these days, even during boot camp or basic training.

They use bean bag shotguns or rubber S.S.G...it's still live ammo ,but it just leaves a nasty mark, but they may have phased that out by now.

Re: Memorial Day...!
I remember Smitty, who always made me laugh during a fire fight because he'd swear at them in Farsea.
I remember Canadian Angel....Who I knew ,would be there in the window, and I trusted his .50 cal to fly true, and take out the guy holding my right, so i could take out the other two on my left. ...and Arnie who stopped my blood from flowing out of me...I remember every day you boys didn't come home,.. and I did.
May God bless and keep you.May the good Lord bless your families.
