youthful talent...
there are a lot of talented kids around these days. Free and i have shared videos of talented kids playing various musical instruments, some of these kids are amazing for their ages. does ay one here have any young kids with talent in their family? it could be a cousin, a nephew or niece, son or daughter, or brother/sister? if so, what are they good at. my 13 year old daughter is a pretty good artist. i have a niece that's pretty good at art as well. two of my older sisters are pretty talented too, they have been since we were kids. if anyone wants to see a picture that my daughter drew of some characters from the movie Frozen, just ask and i'll share.

I've seen the artwork of your daughter. It is fantastic. I'd love to see more and different techniques. If this is her passion, she will do well. If it is a hobby, she will have years of enjoyment.

Re: youthful talent...
she's been drawing very well since the age of 4, she drew a panda, i wish i had kept it. i had a picture saved on an old computer, but it crashed and i lost it. and the picture was lost in a move. she has the talent, and passion, but she tends to go through streaks where she'll draw all day long, every day for a week, and then won't again for a month. but now that she's in 7th grade, she's been taking art classes, and getting encouragement from her teachers, and she's getting back into drawing again. i'm very proud of her, but if she chooses to take a different direction in life, i'm not going to force her to keep drawing.

I'm hillbilly, so many of my relative grew up with bluegrass jams and usually picked up an instrument while still a toddler.

Yep, Ive been impressed by the things from your daughter that you've shared with me. She definitely has something!
A good friend of mine has never had a music lesson in his life, but can play pretty much anything. He was in my band as a bass player, but can play rhythm and lead guitar, drums, piano, ukulele, mandolin, banjo and I recently saw him in a video with the new band he's in playing an accordion. I'm seriously considering buying an oboe just to see what he can do with it.

My biological father was an amazing artist and sucked at everything else. But My bother got his artistic talent. As a kid his art and photography was amazing and he made a career from much of it. He is also a really good artist musician but life keeps him from having time for it these days.
His children have gotten some of his talent. One is a musical prodigy. He hears something once and can remember it he sings it and plays it on the piano. He has been studying piano now since they discovered this talent and he has a love for classical music and classic rock. He dressed up to try to look like Beethoven and did a mini concert for us.lol This kid is 8 years old and his teacher keeps having to find more involved things to keep up with him and keep him interested.

I hate to break the news to you...but a upsidedown wash basin and a broken broom handle with a string tied between them isn't really considered a real instrument....unless of course your address is a GPS co-ordinate..
AWWW come on...admit it, you've missed me this last week...
