2014 is off to a decent start for me..
not many know this, but back in early December, i was let go from my full time job. i had personal issues that led me to have an attendance issue early on in the year of 2013, and it led to me getting a three day vacation, unpaid, of course. that happened in May. between May and December, i had missed only three days, and i was actually truly sick, once i had an inner ear infection and the doctor flushed a chunk of wax the size of a mini chocolate chip out. i was doing a lot better, when on the fourth of December, it was sooo foggy that i could only drive about 15 mph. and the roads were a little iced up as well, the usually 25 minute drive took me 50...and i was 15 minutes late, and got fired on the spot. i still have my part time job cooking at a bar. and this week, i got a full time job that's within walking distance. it's an evening shift, so i probably won't be around as much during the evening hours. oh, and i've also gotten myself a new friend , with benefits...

As an employer, you have to take into consideration that shit happens to people that is out of their control....you also have to notice when an employee ..STAYS.. 15 minutes after his aloted time....sometimes several times a week, and doesn't get paid for it...and don't focus on the 15 minutes of tardiness, but on the hours of loyalty he or she has voluntarily given the business.
In other words....pay attention.
I know you worked ridiculous hours, which is something you and I have in common, I'm very happy to hear things may get a little better for you..
Every once in a while, a person needs to have the load lifted from his back.

i'll start out at about .65 cents an hour less than the last place, that adds up to be about $26 a week, and considering i would usually put $30 in the gas tank a week...i's say it's not a bad move to work someplace that i can walk to.
