rudeness
been seeing a lot of folks on another site talking about the younger member being very rude when being contacted on chat and or email, so i guess its the younger verses the older generation, just was wondering if anyone came across this topic yet?

Re: rudeness
Yes, I have. In the form of "fuck off old man" to whatever. Most usually I see a "no reply" to a welcoming and get to know you kind of msg. as not only a rude but also unappreciative. I get tired of this fast.

You should see the number of people I have on my ignore list.

Re: rudeness
I take great solace in knowing that those who are rude or critical of us elder members are going to be old to. See how they like it.

Re: rudeness
stickit hit it right on the nail head, same story, some Chicky replies about how she don't want to conversate with a guy old enough to be her father......what happen to just simple conversation? or is it just young and dumb and cant tell them anything, I'm sure we had that same attitude too at one time in our life...just a two way door

Re: rudeness
Most times, at least in my case, younger generations get flustered when they use abbreviations in chat and I don't. Other times it's when they're talking on the phone, out loud, so every Tom, Dick, and Harry can hear the one way conversation, and they give you a look and pause, putting their hand over the phone and ask, "What the Fuck do you want?!" I get that a lot, like I somehow was eavesdropping on a personal conversation.

Last time that happened, just after I got the look, but before she asked me the insult, I faked a phone call;
"Yeah...I'm standing line at the check out now!"
"What?! I can't hear you over the bitch in front me screaming into her phone!"
"Wait..What? No she isn't much to look at."
"Hold on a second!" What the fuck are you staring at?! Turn around!...

Re: rudeness
As most people know I wont talk to anyone under 30 on here. I should say I wont talk about what they want to talk about. I really should add to my list of people I wont talk to... I wont talk go morons! It really has more to do with attitude and intelligence. I have come across just as many older morons as younger ones. Young people just aren't being taught appropriate behavior and manors anymore. I just had this discussion over Thanksgiving weekend. I feel that is why so many people are shocked when they meet kids with good manors, work ethic and social skills. I have had many people compliment me about my children over the years. The sad part is, that they are doing what others used to but it is that it is so rare these days. People seem to have a general attitude of entitlement these days. How many times have you come across a waiter or other service person acting like they are doing you some favor by doing their job (not well) and then get pissed if they don't get a huge tip. My daughter still gets angry when she works with someone and they don't want to do part of something that is their job and they just blow it off, then complain if they get written up. She always says "What did they expect?". It will only get worse if kids are not taught the basics. If they have no consequences why would it change?

Re: rudeness
personally that is why WN is my preferred site. The yougins get bored with our chatter. To think people using social media etc to COMMUNICATE, what an incredible concept. Perhaps it stems from the days of our bar room pick up days - we actually had to speak to people to get to know them - I guess we are just a generation of communicators not matter what venue we use we actually like to get to know each other and give a shit about what happens to the people in our circle.
Just think we are able to enjoy sex AND communicate - may just be one of the wonders of the world in another 10 years!

Re: rudeness
The youngings aren't the only rude ones, I'm afraid. I just had to send this as a reply after a couple months of unwanted advances...

"I've told you multiple times before that I'm not gay or bi. I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to block you for your repeated advances. Perhaps try reading the profiles of your persons of interest to see if they are gay or bi in the future, as to not waste their and your time on such fruitless endeavors."

That person is in their 40s, and can't seem to read that I'm both straight, and seeing someone.

Re: rudeness
I do not understand 'rude' at all...sure we're human and we all have spontaneous thoughts in our heads but we have the intelligence to filter out before we speak (or post, or text)

Just popping out with a rude or nasty worded 'opinion' instead of being able to present your opinion rationally is just a weakness.

When some young thing says that to me and I'm in a hurry...I follow that thank you with, "but your too immature for me." Don't make eye contact when you say it. It makes for a subliminal dig on their psyche if you can't waste the time to look them in the eye. Nine times out of ten, that additive makes for a conversation ender too. They seem to just shut right up afterwards, strange...

Re: rudeness
Um....I'm 25. Is that part of the younger generation?? (Please say yes!!!!)

Well if it is, I'd like to apologize if I've ever been rude/haven't replied. For me, and I'm sure for a lot of people on sites like this, when I log in, I can have a stupid amount of mails, notes etc. A lot of the time I use my phone to log in. So mails do slip thro the net for me. I would never intentionally ignore someone that's taken time out of their day to acknowledge me.

In actual fact, I'd rather talk to more mature guys. It's better conversation!! At least you get a 'Hi, how are you?' before they might ask your bra size!!!

You're fine Katie...if you can't reply to all your mail don't worry. You created an account here to enjoy yourself and that's not gonna be possible if you're stuck in your mailbox the entire time!

Thanks Chazzy

That's it exactly!!! Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy mailing people, far more than using the chat rooms. But it can be quite difficult to browse/post in forums and ensure all mails are replied at the same time! I'm glad someone else gets it

If logging in here becomes a chore, a job, just "work" you won't want to log in...and we sure do not want that!
We like to see you spend time out here in the forums with all of us.

Re: rudeness
I think most women know that we can get slammed with so many emails or notes that it can be overwhelming. I used to answer ever single one of them. I have to admit that I have gotten to a point that I have decided if they are just something stupid or rude or the person has not taken the time to write something that requires an answer then I just don't answer it anymore. Or like many have else have said, if they don't take the time to read your profile and what your are into or not into, then why bother. I love when I get emails that say "Hey I read your profile and I loved it! I am really interested" and its from a 20 year old. I will sometimes answer that with a somewhat rude email.."So if you read my profile.... Is it that you have a comprehension problem or are you just ignoring what I said in it because you didn't believe me?" Believe it or not even that doesn't always get them to stop bothering me. Why would someone even send a message to someone that they have NO CHANCE on ever getting to chat with?
