I've Had Enough ...
So there is this so called friend, and through my divorce , he would come over and bring up the subject of my ex, and how fucked up she is for hightailing it out of here. What I never realized was he was gathering information , for his own purposes.....now I find out that he's doing her skinny blonde ass.
Although I find that distasteful..I have moved on,...so whatever.
Then he cuts my barbed wire that borders his property and mine where he owns a small wilderness cabin...about 8 kilometers away..and when my cows get in his property..he threatens to shoot them and put them in his freezer.
Now this is open range here...you need to by law ,fence livestock out of your land to keep them out....So I talked to him about that, and I was polite, and courteous,...although I had a Winchester in my hand at the time.
Then I catch his dog chasing my horses ...I load up his dog and bring it back to him...and I have every right to destroy that dog and charge him for the spent shell, under the Protection of livestock act...But I didn't.
Last week I found more cut fence, and yes I swore to myself, and quietly put it back up and made sure my cows didn't wreck any of his property, because he's never there anyways, as it's a vacation home.They just left some fertilizer behind.
Then I see him sitting on the road above my place staring down at my homestead,...he's on public roadways ,so whatever, and then I see him shoveling cowshit down the hill onto my place.....like thats going to make a difference around here...I have plenty of it...
Now I hear through the grapevine that my giant Rotweiller was chasing a bear away and ran it through his property...and he's telling everyone he's going to shoot him if he comes back....
Really ?...Do you really wanna go there with me ?

There is nothing funnier than a guy pretending to be a redneck wearing Hushpuppies, and driving a Smart Car..

I know how you feel and what you would like to do. New Yorkers and Cowboys like to settle things very much the same way. The problem is you would wind up in jail and he will probably kill your dog and a few heads of cattle. The only thing you can really do is try to set some type of video to catch him cutting your fence and then take him the legal route. I also love the little guys with beer muscles. One punch and they normally go running home with tears in their eyes to their lawyers anyway.Why is it that cowards seem to find it necessary to pick on defenseless animals or children? (Obviously that question is rhetorical.) By the way if you happen to have a fist accidentally fall on his face, can you make sure an extra one falls his way from me. I love animals and now I'm pissed he threatened the dog and cows.Just please keep an eye on your dog until you get this settled so that smuck doesn't hurt him.
I think the courts have you all wrong. You don't have an anger problem. You have a problem with morons interfering with you life. I have the same problem.

The dog has a mind of his own, he'll chase those bears ten miles and tree them, it's what he's trained to do.
Oddly enough I've been keeping him in my house more, and the few locals we have here, they are complaining about the amount of bears this year....dumbasses.
Wrote down peanut butter on my shopping list...

I have been more than patient with him,....I think he may be not thinking very straight right now...my ex is very beautiful , but a full time job.
I think he may be manipulated by her, you see ,she wanted to get back together, and she was told it would never happen, the stalking didn't work,..so now she's dating some of my so called friends, and I just put that on ignore as well.
So now he figures he's going to go good ole' boy on me...in a passive aggressive way, and I was just ignoring that as well, and it is escalating.
Since coming back from overseas I have become little more passive. There are some that see good manners, and a calm reserve as a weakness,..and they are wrong...I have seen enough conflict to last a lifetime...
That Rottweiler is one of my best friends, if he destroys him , then I will feel cornered.
Why is it that when some people see a sleeping Grizzly, the first thing they do is poke it with a stick ?

What you need to do is get the complaints lodged and on paper. Have the local law enforcement out there and show them what's happening. Next time this guy tries to sabotage you and yours, get someone out there or take pictures, like in the case of his dog chasing the horses.
When you confront the police, don't yell or seem like your pissed off in any way. Talk to them in calm manner, make it seem as though you think he's just a nuisance. The police will get calls from him that will be way different and you'll give the impression that he is sabotaging himself to make you look bad and his situations are life threatening. Don't tell them in your first meeting that he's banging your ex either. Offer it as secondary or matter of fact when they come out from one of his ranting/ravings about what you and yours are doing to him.
"I think I know why he's trying to push my buttons. He's in a relationship with my ex-wife. Maybe he thinks he's winning brownie points by harassing me or something." Say it calmly like; she doesn't mean anything to you anymore. Police are quick to jump to conclusions when one side is calm and the other is a raving lunatic. If any of that conversation gets back to your ex, it will be a bonus. Her head will spin and she'll puke up pee-soup everywhere, thinking you don't give a crap about her and his antics anymore...

Thanks GG...Your right ...we have only 2 RCMP officers in one of the largest areas in B.C. , and I know them very well. I'll guide them for finding lost people, small forest fires, or plane crashes etc. So they know me very well too, and that I can be fairly reasonable.
Although it's not my style ,perhaps a file should be started before I do something that he will regret.
What I do find frustrating , and I know you can relate to this yourself because of your size...is that he is sorta hiding behind a skinny little blonde, that I have no feelings for anymore. I'm a larger framed guy thats worked hard my whole life, and people sort of give me my space without me having to ask...
Under normal circumstances...he wouldn't fucking dare behave like that.
...and yes ..I suppose my ex is already puking up a little because she just can't get under my skin...yet she does know my weaknesses...my family, friends ,and my animals...all this feels very predatory ,and calculated.
She wouldn't mess with friends, other than dating some of the single guys.. ,...and my family are people who you just would never dream of screwing with. Shit when my cousins come visit, they pass thru town and buy that big dog a burger at the drivethru, but won't buy one for their girlfriends sitting in the seat next to them..
If my cousins hear about this ...I may lose control of the situation.
Your right...I'll go to town and start a file.

I agree w/GG if you can at least get into the local authorities records, something to CYA. Since you have a good repore with them that should be doable. I generally avoid the legal route - spent $20,000 to prove I was right, I won & still didn't get what was rightfully mine so I am a bit sour! Since he's an old friend, I'd say sit down & have a beer with him, shoot the shit about the bears and how your Rotty keeps them at bay, a a little empathy about what he is probably dealing with in his relationship w/ you ex - use the old adage to describe your ex: "some days you wake up and you feel like you ate the bear, and other days you feel like the bear ate you'. Then put your arm around his neck as you walk out and say 'bud you can fuck with me, you can fuck my ex-wife, but if you fuck w/ my dog you'll WISH the bear ate you" . . . smile that crooked Sam Elliot smile and walk away!

I would not recommend putting your hands on him kidding or otherwise. Even a face to face meeting would be bad. It can be construed that you were plotting against him regardless of its intent. I had a buddy who knows that all too well. Long story short, last I heard he was out of jail, after serving 18 months of a 5 year sentence for, "Attempted Vehicular Homicide." and all he was doing was driving away.

Sooo...I caught them on my property....and well....I guess we'll see if the RCMP show up here today..my horse some how leaned against his Landcruiser, and my spur sorta put a scratch in his door...after some cursing he got out and grabbed at my reins.
Somehow he got loaded back in his vehicle ...upsidedown......Oops!

I truly understand how you feel.But unless he physically touches you DO NOT touch him. Keep a camera with you at all times. It would have been better if you had a recording of you catching him and all that happened. If you have a cell phone that records video and audio use it!. Document everything.Because you have a record of "Anger" they will push your buttons and try to use it against you. All kidding aside, what you feel like doing and what you should do are very different.Taking the legal route will work in your favor.
I have a crazy ex-husband. He did everything you could imagine. One day he lost it because he kept calling and I would hang up on him rather than get into a screaming match. HE called the police. He tried to claim that he was concerned for the kids well being. The cops came to my house. I had the kids come talk to the cop. They were all in their rooms playing during all this so had no idea what was happening. The cop said "ok then what is this all about." So I showed him the restraining order I had against my ex. Then I gave him my phone that showed he called me 27 times in less than 10 minutes time. They went over to his house and arrested him! I stayed calm through it all. But trust me I was pissed. I have run into all kinds of stuff from him threatening to kill me to him threatening to take my kids etc...I used to get angry. Now I stay calm and let the courts deal with it.
I do understand it feels good to get it out physically but that comes back to bite you. Think of it the way you would if you were dealing with a child. They do all the stuff that pushes your buttons all day. They they throw a temper tantrum in the most embarrassing place possible. In your head you want to smack that kid. You know that would make you feel a little better for the moment, but you know it's not the right thing to do and it really wouldn't solve the problem and possibly get you locked up. So you punish the child in a more appropriate way. That's the way you should deal with this smuck you are dealing with. Go the more appropriate way. In the long term it will be more satisfying because it will end the stupidity and he will be punished and you wont go to jail.

I'm a registered government tracker..and the RCMP just left half an hour ago.
I just took them to the sight, showed them my property pegs, [they were almost 2 kilometeres inside my property]...and the No trespassing , and No hunting signs,...along with the 3 gates they went through.
They took pictures, studied the tracks, etc....came in for a cup of coffee, we had a good laugh about it, so now they are going to talk with him...and tell him that annoying a 190 pound rancher, decorated veteran, occasional RCMP wilderness consultant, and fire fighter ...may not be very good for his health.
OH!!....and I did start a file under GG's advice...thank you big guy, it was the right thing to do....the Crown is considering harrasment, mischief , and trespassing charges.

Well i guess i'm taking a trip to Kamloops...It seems he didn't like to be tossed back into his Landcruiser with his girlfriend watching, so..He threatened to shoot me..In front of a cop..
So a whole new set of charges
Uttering threats, Resisting arrest, Giving false info during a police investigation, ..They went to sieze all of his registered firearms, and found narcotics { Big surprise ! } and just being a general dumbass..
But now I have to waste a perfectly good work day with filling out paperwork..
Why does this shit always happen to me..?
