OCB, you can crop your photos. Just look at the giant head of Sybianwatcher1. He was riding a horse in the shot.

Re: the picture rules are stupid
So sorry about that but even more sad to say that we've had to deal with photos involving animals that was not innocent, so...really no choice for those in charge of checking photos to just have the across board rule of "No animals"
A lot of your friends here have the basic photo editing software and skills to crop a photo for you, I use to do it a lot for members but just not able to promise the time right now. If someone wants to help you, you can exchange the photo in a message and then save the edited/cropped to your computer to upload here.

Yes I had help with that one as well from a very good freind ,....and mighty hot ......that is a member here...but her only compliment about that perfect profile shot was...."It's a good shot of your ear"
Shame that the horse is cropped out...he's a mighty handsome boy..but I do get why, if the line is drawn at NO animals, it is simplified.
Then the question remains...if they don't allow pics. of animals, is my profile shot a grey area, I mean I am half wild..and I've had several women claim they've seen my knuckles drag on the ground.
..AND ! my head is not giant,...it's proportioned to the rest of my body...it's just a little square...

Re: the picture rules are stupid
Rules are rules. I thought it was strange that I couldn't post a photo of a rattlesnake fang earring, & I remember there was a blind Guy that had a photo of him with his seeing eye dog that had to be cropped. But I guess it only takes one person to take animal lover past the acceptable limits to make the rules stricter

Re: the picture rules are stupid
You can crop photos using Microsoft Paint if you're on a windows computer. I know Macs have a similar program that come with all systems that is actually a much more advanced version of MS Paint. And if you're on a Linux system, there are tons of free programs that you can download with the cropping ability.
Read all instructions before proceeding...
On most available programs, the process is usually pretty simple. Load your photo in the program. There should be an assortment of tools, usually indicated by icons. You want the select tool, which is typically a box shape made of dashed lines. If you hover your mouse over the tools, it should show their name after a second or two.
After you find the select tool, click and drag your mouse cursor to form a shape. The area within this shape is selected, and can be affected through various functions. Use this ability to mark the area of the photo that you want to keep.
Once you have the area of the photo within the marked selection area, you can crop it. The crop ability is usually hidden in a tool section at the top menu area, much like the File, Edit and Help menus in most programs. Once you find it, click it and the process should be complete. All you have to do now is save the photo, BUT DON'T JUST CLICK SAVE!!!
Most programs will overwrite the original photo if you just save. You need to click 'Save As' and give the new photo a new name. If you're not tech savvy, the best thing that you can do would be to save the photo under a new name as soon as you load it into the program. That way, if you mess up, you still have the original photo and no damage is done.

Upload the photo again, if it gets deleted again I or one of the other mods will personally make the inquiry and get you an answer.

Re: the picture rules are stupid
I had a similar problem at the beginning. It would be much easier if they would tell you why they delete them. I know I was told at some point (after I inquired) the file was to big. When I made it smaller but the picture was they same they just assumed I reloaded it without changing the size but after telling them to check it again they let it upload realizing it was the same pic but now fit the guidelines, so they let it stay up.

Star I have to meet you some day! I have a list of people that I just feel I would love to meet in person and you are definitely on that list.
And for the record,I would recommend you only use safety scissors for now, however, they still wont post your pictures.
