Actually, yesterday I suggested putting in a wet bar, a few shots of whiskey, therapy wouldn't hurt as bad

Don't forget the little round stage, and the brass pole attached to the ceiling for the Nurses..
make sure the stage is just high enough that you've gotta raise your arm to put the dollars in the g-string...

I did it, I got my work release! I didn't think I'd get released, but I did. No long flights, only short day trips, & only with a Co pilot

It really did, on top of therapy, excersises at home, lifting weights, . I still do therapy 3 days a week

I just read the good news about the work release. Great news. I think many of us on here can relate to you in some way. I know many of us have been in accidents or had health issues that required a bit of therapy to get back to "Normal" (Normal for us may not be the normal most think of.) But it is a struggle and when you have something that was to extent you had happen, it is literally like learning to do the day to day things most take for granted over again.
I hated physical therapy and all the other crap I have had to do over the years. My mind would tell me "This is stupid. You know how to do these things!" But my body had other ideas.So when you say you are excited that you can lift your arm I understand. I know how long of a road it has been and how long it is still in front of you. I am so glad that you get to celebrate your accomplishments. Go fly somewhere nice, just for you. Not work.Go take a friend and go fly someplace you miss and just love. I know enough pilots to know you all have that one place you love flying into even if it's just for dinner.

... thanks, I know many don't understand how hard I worked, how much therapy hurts, just to get my arm back,,,, & fyi.. I once flew 200 miles just for some pistachio ice cream

Ha! I knew you would fly to someplace for something like that. It's a pilot thing. You all have that same thing about flying to that special place. I dated a pilot for about 4 years and he would fly to all these different places for a certain dessert or meal or because he liked the view as he landed. You all have that little thing about you. I guess that why I tend to like pilots and musicians. You guys know how special the things can be that most people never even think about them.
