In Case Anyone's interested
I can finally raise my arm over my head, with a 3 lb weight. Might seem stupid to y'all, but it's a big deal to me, I've been going to therapy 3 days a week since July to get to this point

NRG,Being a person that has been through a serious accident as well as having my children go through them as well, I totally understand your excitement. It is a huge milestone.We never realize how much we take for granted until we can't do them anymore.It takes a lot to get back what you have lost but it is so worth it. You have cheerleaders here for you so please post as you progress. I know I and many others are wishing you a full and speedy recovery.

Well besides the therapy, I lift weights at home, I do stretches with a pulley & rope. This has been a really hard, long road, I never could have guessed a shoulder could cause so much pain, for so long, & getting use of your arm again is a real struggle.

Thanks so much for the encouragement, this has been a long, summer for me, unable to do much of anything. My friends said I have all summer to fish... yeah,I have the time, but I can't cast a line out, & if I happened to catch a fish, I couldn't reel it in. So thanks for the encouraging words, I say that from the heart

Hope you're on the upside of things now, once they break through the surgical scar tissue with the therapy, it starts getting a little easier. It is a big deal!

Thanks Chazzy, I can always use encouragement, seen the surgeon yesterday, I've gained 40 degrees of movement. Therapy is brutal, painful

Therapy is in a few hours, & shoulder feels a lil stiff today, so I bet I'm gonna pay for that, pain level will probably be higher today?

and use coconut oil...I was introduced to it from someone here, and I highly recommend it.

How did it go for ya, dear? how many more sessions do you have left?
Looks like hubs is lookin' at a 4th surgery, he recently had a retear so...I'll be haulin' and handlin' all the firewood this winter, poor guy, one surgery is traumatic enough.

Having some trouble getting my arm all the way up without help, apparently some scar tissue around the scapula that's freezing up my scapula. So I told the therapist to get aggressive, & he did. Even when he asked if I need a break, I told him to keep going, it only hurts for awhile. I'm frustrated, I want my arm back

I have a pretty good pain tolerance, after getting burned, I've always thought anything else would be a walk in the park, but I gotta be honest here, this therapy is testing the limits. Therapy is far more than I ever thought
