dont burn the popcorn
i cant stand the smell of micowave pop corn , it smells burnt just stinks up the house... it dont look burnt but it smells like it....munch munch

I don't ever make microwave popcorn...I have an air popper, but if there is time I will always take a dedicated stainless pot with oil and pop it over the stove top, and there is nothing to replace the taste.
Once in a while I'll put a spoonful of sugar in the oil and pop it, when buttered and salted, it's a lot like kettle corn. In my camper I have one of those roasters for over the campfire....and that is just awesome after a few days in the mountains.

There is nothing better than making popcorn that way. I use to have a popper but when it wore out I never replaced it. I bet it would be really good over a campfire.

I do plain popcorn in a paper bag in the microwave - I don't like the chemical butter in store bought microwave popcorn. But nothing better than my cast iron pan, oil popcorn smothered in butter & salt, add a movie & strong arm around ya snuggled up on the couch - oh yea!

we have a air popper add hot butter salt , some soda and a cuddly blankie, and a progam on free tv.

Dammit Ash....it's almost 11;30 and now I crave popcorn, and it always takes a half hour to eat, because my dogs expect their share, tossed so they can catch them out of the air.
