the loss of a legend...
it was 23 years ago today...August 27th 1990, that the music world was changed forever, Stevie Ray Vaughan was killed in a helicopter crash near Alpine Valley, Wisconsin

he was just getting his life back on track too, after battling a serious drug and alcohol addiction, he was now to demand two fifths of Crown Royal, one firth of Scotch, and a 1/4 ounce of Cocaine daily when he would tour...

it was enough to nearly kill him, giving him reason to sober up.

I love his music, I play a lot of his & Lang's music ... well when my arm still worked I did, I haven't picked up a guitar in 3 months, I'll probably have to learn all over from the beginning again
