i found Syb's ad in the newspaper...
JOHN DEERE TRACTOR FOR SALE:
it runs great, but is missing the seat and steering wheel.
it's perfect for the farmer who's lost his ass, and doesn't know which way to turn...

I can work with that.
Yah...I had to purchase a new one....that old one of mine couldn't cut the grass straight anymore because of the vise grip on the steering column.
But the seat should look great on Newb's new toy...Bring your torch and eight pound sledge Kam, for the disassembly....I kinda got happy with the welder a few times... I tend to misplace bolts alot.
