Tied To Home 2
Chazzy's post made me think of a different spin on the concept of "tied to home". Most of us live where we do because of our circumstances, be it job, family etc. But if you had the freedom to live wherever you chose, where would you go? If it werent for family, I'd get the hell outta Dodge in a New York minute. Ideally, I'd probably head to the Carolinas. The economy is better than other areas of the Country, the taxes are lower. They rarely get snow. Any hurricanes that might come up the coast have lost a lot of their punch by the time they get up there and it's warm most of the year. Plus, I'd be within a day's drive of where I live now if I needed to come back for any reason.

I'd head for the islands.
White sandy beaches, salt-laden breezes, and waters so clear you can see the colors of the coral reefs. The more isolated the better.
