Bleh.
Another "Royal" event. I will never be able to wrap my head around people's fascination with these over paid do nothings who all are where they are because the right egg was in the right womb and was splashed by the right sperm at the right time. They dont do anything to earn their fame and fortune. And nothing against the baby, who is innocent in the entire situation, but I dont care what its' sex is and i care even less what its' name is. There's far more important things going on in the rest of the world than paying attention to this hype. Its a baby being born. Get over it.

Re: Bleh.
at least that baby will grow up having the proper direction, and will amount to something, unlike Kanye and Kim's...the only direction that kid will ever have...is in her name.

Re: Bleh.
Like any famous person their life is not something I would ever want. I feel sorry for those who have to grow up like that. Just imagine having to have full security every second of your life so some lunatic doesn't kill you just because of your bloodline.I never understood why people are fascinated by famous people as if they were from another planet and need to be studied.

You do too. A 24 hour news cycle and a herd that's not interested in hard news and politics or just plain reading.

Re: Bleh.
What's worse is that the reporters are standing outside the hospital waiting for this women to have a baby. Then when she does it will be "Breaking news" and they will interrupt everything we are watching as if it was some kind of surprise and an important event.

Re: Bleh.
I don't get the whole gah-gah over the famous in general. Not just the Royals, but honestly ANYONE famous. I mean they are PEOPLE.
I know a couple who had a TV show, and are 'famous' on a much smaller scale than the Royal family and I know people that are simply crazed over the fact I know them. They ask me what they are like, etc etc - I am like their neighbors that live up the road, I see them all the time around town, they are just freaking people!!. Nope really don't get how someone can be so infatuated with someone they do not even know.

Re: Bleh.
I'm about as interested in it as anyone else expecting. It's a more pleasant topic than the hard crap going on in the world.
When I lived on the farm, musicians showed up to hang out and play bluegrass, some local, some more well known. It seems the ones with fame would always want to stay the night, wake up to roosters crowing and their breakfast cooked on the wood cook stove. I always showed them the same hospitality as anyone else, no more no less...just another house guest.

Re: Bleh.
With all the crap going on in the world I couldn't believe what I heard today. I was watching TV and they interrupted with " Breaking news" " "Princess might be in labor. We have nothing to confirm this"
I sat there thinking, did I just hear that right?
So ridiculous. As I'm typing this the news is on and they said" Prince William and Princess Kate are reportedly going to have a baby at this hospital (they show the hospital).Press has been waiting for two weeks outside. It could be any time now." Wow

When the baby was born, some satirical newspaper came out with the full page headline of "WOMAN HAS BABY!"
That is funny!

What he said! Personally, I dont care what they do. They dont effect me in the least. I just think that the media frenzy is total insanity. Normally, I have the news on all day. But I was so sick of hearing about it the other day that I turned on re runs of That 70s Show

Tell ya what, as long as there are territories and countries who stone to death women, decide on only a minimum education for it's people, decide how many children of what sex can be had, inprison or worse all who have a political opinion and all other human right horrors, I think the UK is just fine, my in-laws living there don't seem to feel oppressed or trodden on.
Geez, love 'em or hate 'em...I don't think it's that serious or that big of a deal.

Re: Bleh.
It's us (the USA) we're media freaks, droves of reporters will camp out for the possibility of breaking news, stuff like when the President chooses a Presidential new pet, or once a year when a giant pampered rodent pops out of his dirt burrow.
We have so many 24 hour news station and there's only so much news to air.

Re: Bleh.
Have been following this thread and the royal baby interest and disinterest; and with all the repartee and quips, I don't see any of you that we're interested actually reported the name: George Alexander Louis; or as I as an interested disinterested person shall now refer to him as: GAL!
So there you have it folks, a boy named GAL!
The Royals have finally stolen back an idea from us ( or actually Johnny Cash). You see he was the first to talk about a boy named Sue!! Lol
So my question is, when He reaches his succession line will the boy name GAL be the next King or Queen of England? Just wonderin' !! You see, The Shadow always likes to know.
