Blurred vision...
Not to make lite of Chazzy's current condition, but it has inspired me to write this post.
I know at rodeo dances the later it gets the more attractive I become to the young ladies, and vice versa....The thicker the beer goggles ,the better she looks.
I've also noticed in the chatroom a few times a young lady will say..."I just need to find my glasses "....she then mysteriously has an emergency, she needs to tend to, or just leaves all together.
I also have a close relative who is legally blind....and really ,really ,good at hiding it. This person is a master at voice recognition, and memorizing furniture layout, and he has struggled with sight impairment due to starvation from childhood.
You see....He doesn't really know what a real attractive girl looks like...He's never looked across the street ,and seen a jaw dropping hottie...that he couldn't take his eyes off of.
At the same time....me included...we are quick to judge a person on the way they look, and not who they are.
Some of the most beuatiful people I've met, actually were not that physically attractive....and some of the most physically attractive people I've met...were the ugliest, shit.. I married one of them.
Maybe once in a while we need to blurr our vision ... just a little,.. to really see what is there.

What we really need to do is look past the obvious and search out the real person inside, look for their heart and inner being. There are some beautiful souls here.

Re: Blurred vision...
I know my niece would only date guys that looked a certain way. and the guy she married is a ass. and I know some of them women that are very nice looking are so into themselves that you can't be around them. I also told Pa if I ever get like that just slap me. I do not think of my self as beautiful, I am just a normal person.

Re: Blurred vision...
i know exactly what you mean. i met someone in the chat room lobby right here on this site. we chatted for a very long time before she offered a pic of herself. and i never asked. we became best friends, and still are to this day. (she left the site). i fell in love with her personality, long before i ever saw what she looked like. and to be honest, if i had seen her first, i'm not sure where our relationship would have went. she's not unattractive by any means, just not what i expected, and not what i thought my "type" was back then. but i've always tended to look for "inner beauty" over looks, looks can be superficial.

Re: Blurred vision...
I've said this so many times and some people just don't get it. I have worked in the business where outside beauty is important.I have met some so called gorgeous people, that are the ugliest people I have ever come across.I seem to have this thing that goes on in my brain that morphs people as I get to know them. People that I like start to look more and more physically attractive to me the more I like the person. The reverse happens as well. If I dislike someone they actually look ugly to me. I've always been that way.
When I had to cast someone based on appearance I never wanted to see anything except what they looked liked. If they looked right for the talent I was casting then I would go from there. If I spoke to them first it could change my opinion if I were trying to find a certain "LOOK".
When I meet people online most times I wont look t their profile. If I do it would be for something specific, like an age. I don't normally look at pictures until I know someone a long time. I had never seen a picture of Kam until we decided to meet in person the first time. We had chatted for quit a while prior to that. Some say "looks are not important" That's not true. But for me its more about what the looks tell me. If the guy looked filthy and had rotted teeth, of course it would bother me. Some people like tattoos. I don't mind some but I personally would not want to date someone fully covered in them. These days that's not as rare as you might think.I also wouldn't want someone with extreme piercings. So yes some appearance issues are important weather we admit them or not.But many of those have more to do with cultural differences and that leads to personality differences. Some are easy to get past some are not. It depends on the person.

Re: Blurred vision...
I experience this phenomenon almost weekly. I especially like it when you hear the term, "You have a face for radio." I listen to a lot of talk radio stations, mostly political stuff. There was this guy on a local radio show who called himself simply, "Vinnie." Vinnie sounded like an italian southy from Boston. In between his regular rants he would talk about his love for food and the restaurants he frequented. I pictured him as this jolly, older than me, salt and pepper haired, type of gentlemen, who may have smoked the occasional cigar or two. I finally saw a picture of him. He looked like he ate Chris Christy whole! He was way younger than me, his twenties, 5-5 and 500+ pounds, who's voice was only raspy, because of the stretch he had to use to get his voice out from behind all that blubber. I still hear him now and then, but my image of him is blown.

Re: Blurred vision...
There's only one other thing I want to say about blurred visions... This may be ,but I've noticed something. For guys at least, when a pretty girl walks past, we will check them out in one form or another. Women are used to this, but older ones are past the, "pissed" stage, at least around here. I've been noticing older ladies dressing up more to attract, or at least, aren't uptight about what they wear anymore. Yet something isn't right. When one catches my glimpse, and my head spins around, I get a glare back instead of a coyish look you'd think you'd get when you know someone is checking you out. It's almost like saying, "Take a picture, it'll last longer, you jerk." I don't get it. If you don't want us to look, dress like a guy, that'll work...

Isn't it strange that we invision people in our head from a voice or even text on a computer screen? I had a distant relative reach out to out family and we had contacted each other only through email. This went on for months until we finally met at a family reunion type of event. I never saw a picture of him , nor did I even have a description of him. The strange part was he looked EXACTLY how I pictured him in my brain. I always wonder how that happens. Why do our brains see flaws sometimes and not others? Why do we all perceive pretty or ugly as different things from one person to the next?

It depends on the person as to what reaction you would get. I also think "its in the delivery" of how you are looking at the women. At times men look and smile and I believe most women are fine with that. But the up from your toes to your head and back down with a grin just makes most women uncomfortable. It's kind of the difference between saying "You look nice" and saying"I want to rip your clothes off".
As for how we dress...We should be able to dress however we want and still be treated with respect. That doesn't mean that some women don't over react and it also doesn't mean that some men don't need to learn how to behave properly.A wolf whistle and rude comment is not usually taken as a compliment. And every time a man says "you look nice sweetheart" is not always inappropriate.

Men who can't be trusted in polite society should stay home.
In no way is someone else's rude behavior the fault of anyone other than the person being rude.

I worked in "gogo" bars(Yes they are still called that here in Jersey). And I have been asked a few times but the best was when I was out in a pretty upscale hotel. I was at the bar waiting for some friends and my husband. They were all gambling in the casino. I was chatting with a girl who was a hooker but not the kind that walks the streets. She was much higher end.Anyway, a guy asked her and me to go to his room. When we explained I "wasn't a working girl" he asked if a larger amount of money could change my mind. The women that I was chatting with said "If you ever change your mind I can promise you would make a ton of money. lol Once in Mexico (On my honeymoon)Some guy asked my husband if he could buy me. Seriously.I took these as compliments.

I didn't have a picture up of myself for almost two years......what did you think I looked like before it was posted ?
All you cowboys look alike to me.
Its the hat and boots that make us look generic....It's what lies in the heart that seperates the boys, from the men.
That ...and dick length.
I've known a few cowboys that were huge dicks!

Yes,.. Rodeo cowboys are a breed unto themselves, mistreat a woman around a ranching cowboy, and you'll find yourself without a job prospect for a 100 mile radius, and a reputation that will be with you for decades...
I've known a few so called "cowboys" that treated a ranchers ,or farmers daughters wrong.....they got to know their dentists real well.
