I made the mini apple pies. MMMMM they were good, I added a small amount of caramel to them. I impressed my self with them.

I was able to get a bunch of ripe bananas from a store in town ( hard to find because they have to throw them away). I think I will be making some banana bread tomorrow. and still have a few apples left might have to make some apple crisp.

Elk steak, with Greek salad last night...and it finally got cool enough for the two hour trip home for ice cream not to melt, so I bought two gallons of the stuff.

Beer should be run thru a hot copper line, and purified into a pure clear liquid to make it more paletable...which is why I don't prefer the stuff.
The town I buy ice cream in is 3400 feet below my elevation, and is the most northern part of the Mojhavie Desert, and can reach 105 degrees in summer.

I've never heard of this before but will bake one up real soon.
OLD BLACK JOE CAKE
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. strong coffee
1 c. milk
Mix all dry ingredients. Then add egg, oil, coffee, and milk. Mix well. Bake at 350 degrees until done about 25 to 30 minutes

made my version of that Mississippi pot roast that's been floating around on those social media sites.
turned out awesome:
3 or 4 pound chuck roast
(i subbed sirloin tip)
1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch powdered mix
1 packet McCormick Au Jus Gravy mix
(i subbed Johnny's French Dip Au Jus mix)
1 stick of butter
1 Jar Pepproccini peppers
(i subbed banana peppers)
put cup cold water in your Crock Pot
place the roast in the water
add remaining ingredients in the exact order listed above.
cook on high for two hours the switch to low for 6 more.
do not do anything else until its done, no stirring, no basting...it's delicious.
