where do you want to use them? but yes..
saving just makes them a pic on your computer that you can attache to email and such if you like.. if you want them in say IM or another forum I dont think it can be done, well it can depending on the site but a hassle.

Definitely do a search first!! I've read and heard nothing good about "SmileyCentral" and a few of the other "free smiley" sites...they can come with allot of adware, spyware and all kinds of things you don't want....and really fuck up your computer!!!
For these kind of things, I usually use search out on "google/groups/computer". Just use "smileycentral" (or any other site you're considering a download from) or "free smileys" "free emoticons" as keywords and do a few searches. It won't take long to find out which sites are safe and which ones have caused others allot of heartache.
(I use BCB's method, myself....whenever I happen to see emoticons somewhere that I like, I right click, "save picture as.." and store them all in a folder)

I just did that with these and when I went to use then in a private e-mail they were not placed where the cursor was, they were in the middle of the page somewhere or at the bottom. I know what you mean about spyware and fucking up the computor remember we all went through that last year, this year I have Mcaffee security, because it is free with comcast my ISP. Norton was alright but I think it slowed the computor down.
