I'll be offline for a bit
I'm having surgery this week on the muscles/tendon on both eyelids, this is not, absolutely not a cosmetic surgery of vanity. If I put it off any longer, they will yank my driver's license.
Anyway, will have both eyes bandaged up for 3 to 4 days, there will be stitches, bruising and a whole lot of swelling for an undetermined amount of time, so won't be able to see for awhile and will be very dependent on my very un-domestic one armed hubs (he's still recovering from recent shoulder surgery)
I'll be thinking of ya'all and will re-join you as soon as possible!

Chazzy, who is driving you home after your procedure?
Also...... obey the doctor's orders.
Postoperative restrictions after may include no bending over, no heavy lifting (nothing heavier than a phone book), and no strenuous activity for 2 weeks after surgery. Swelling and edema may result from over-exerting and take longer to heal. Other complications such as hematoma, suture line disruption, and excessive bruising can result from over doing it.
So, the T.V. remote is okay to lift, but only after you have properly rested for 2-3 days.

Wish you well and a fast recovery. Kiss is correct. People take it to lightly when doctors say NO LIFTING. They think it has nothing to do with what they had done. I just spent an hour watching my friend go through some rather uncomfortable after care because she didn't listen and did laundry! So although not life threatening it was an unnecessary complication due to stubbornness. Please obey orders and get well soon.

Hubs will be doing the driving, his surgery went very well and he can spend time out of his sling.
Have spent weeks preparing the home to make it as easy as possible as I can for him to care for.
I won't be able to see anything for awhile, not sure how long so won't be even getting out of bed until I get some sight back, sure don't need to trip, fall or bang my head so will be trying to just stay still...that sure will suck.
Will be leaving before sunrise tomorrow morning for surgery.

He's kinda like that really bad itch on the bottom of your foot, it itches really, really bad but feels sooooooo good when ya scratch it...
