yep pure maple, it was a good year with two freinds making over 900 gals i hear but she made them and i had 3 plates full, then ya can put all them good things like whipped cream and strawberries on them , hey its good for ya

Now you are going to make me look up "pure maple syrup and the benefits" so I can justify eating it. I figure if I have whole grain waffles with fresh fruit I can at least justify that part.
Ha! There are many health benefits to maple syrup. I new I could justify this.Now I will enjoy the next waffle breakfast.

If you were Canadian you'd realize that maple syrup is it's own food group.

I don't need to be Canadian to figure that out. I grew up in a Jewish household. All food is important. Especially if it's fried.I wonder how we survived as a group with all the fried foods. Everything has some positive purpose when it comes to food if you asked my grandmother. I don't understand why she wasn't huge. She was a tiny little thing and yet food was a part of her every waking moment. She would wake up and start planning the menu for the day. Everything was fresh and made from scratch. My mother almost passed out when she saw a package of instant oatmeal in my house once. It was something my kids wanted to try.lol
I have officially added Maple syrup to the food groups in our house in your honor Syb.

....and I'm sure Kam will put that syrup to very good use the next time he's there......get a Cosco size bottle, and a set of rubber sheets.

when my family get up here im going to try a sausage and egg and biscuits casserole i got on facebook
1 can of buttermilk biscuits, i would make then from scratch my self
1.lb jimmy dean pork sausage or any brand will do.
1 cup shreaded mozzarella
1 cup of shreaded chedder
6 eggs
3/4 cup of milk
salt and pepper to taste
cut dough into 6 or 8 peices place in pan
mix eggs and brown pork place in pan cover with cheeze
bake at 425 for 30 to 35 min. greased 8x8 pan let stand 5 min
serv
