Perve Update 5-16-13
I just talked to his son. Perve is in the hospital and not doing well at all. It's not likely that he's ever going home, but they're looking for a nursing home for him. His son said he'd keep me informed as to what's going on with him, which I will let you all know when I hear something. For any of you who may have his phone number, dont bother calling it because he cant answer. Sounds like a good time for some prayers

Sorry to hear that....I do really believe living things can die of a broken heart. Unfortunately as much as he tried to laugh things off I think he is someone who has a broken heart. I have seen it happen before. I just hope he realizes there are people that would love to see him well and living life to it's fullest again. But I have a feeling that he is the only one who will decide if he wants to stay here or not.If you talk to his family again please give them my best wishes for him as well.And for once I really wish I knew his real name so I could use it rather than Perve.I think he should know we think of him as a real person not just a screen name.

When he first got here, there were several who knew nothing about him and constantly complained to me about him and did not understand why I would tolerate him, even one who wrote him awful hate messages. I'm grateful that so many showed him patience and warmth, got to really know what a good, good person he is, and you all are truly gold hearted people to make a tremendous difference in this man's life.

I know he has cherished the time he has been able to spend with you, Sybie, Kss and a few others. He's told me that before, several times.
I started talking to him as soon as he joined this site, he's a pretty remarkable and selfless man.

Let Perve know we're hoping he'll be back. I don't pop on nearly enough to fill in that completely random conversation standard that he's set.
This world needs to hold onto more good souls like him, it helps to balance out the sheer number of assholes out there!

Well, Perve called me at some point during last while I was sleeping. Never heard the phone. He left a VM that much of it, I couldnt really make out what he was saying. What I did get was that he's been in the hospital for almost 2 months. He said he has really bad diabetes and gall bladder cancer among other things. Sadly, he also said he doesnt think he's gonna be around too much longer. It was really hard to listen to him saying those words.

We have, in the past tried to do something for some of our members. We would create a free webpage that has a questbook to sign to show love and support for those among us that are in true need of it...but sadly, some would show no common sense when signing...offsite family do not need or want to see a quest book with signatures like 'hardcock' or wetsloppycunt'...

I thought of him alot while driving down to Vancouver, and thought it wasn't good that he's been gone from us so long, when I get home I'll post something for our strange, beloved, ailing friend..

Chazzy I wish I could laugh about what you were saying in regard to what people would post but, it is sad that some people are that cold. I understand why you would not start that page due to idiots!

I haven't been around much lately and was absolutely gutted (means shocked/traumatized) to hear about this.
Just lost an old friend from my cricket club at the weekend to cancer; I guess I'm getting to the age where there are more funerals and less weddings!
