Marries at 88
Have yall seen this? Very sweet.
Former Marine Jack Wright, 88, marries his girlfriend of 30 years, Shirlene King, 57, in the oncology radiation department of the Veterans Administration hospital in Los Angeles May 7, 2013. Wright is one of 11 remaining U.S. survivors of the Battle for Guadalcanal in World War II. He decided to marry King in the oncology radiation department after undergoing chemotherapy radiation for his head and neck cancer there.

Re: Marries at 88
I know people do that kind of thing for many reasons. Sometimes its for a legal reason like having that person be able to make medical decision if you become unable. It could also be for other legal reasons like not having other family contest a will if things don't go well. Some do it for emotional reasons and those I understand less because I think after 30 years you would know how someone feels about you and the paper doesn't change that.
