Awhile ago I thought I saw someone here ...lets just say, I had purged from my life, using a cross and a wooden stake...I'm talking exact look alike, except for a tattoo, and of course the age was different , as well as location..my heart sank, then slowly, common sense took over.
I'll admit I wasn't happy..
As far as family...there is a dude lurking around here claiming to be my relative...we made a pact...or pinky swear..it stays between us, and only us.
He feels the same as me, there is nothing worse than betrayal.
I suppose you could address the issue, if there is one...or avoid it.

Only one or two friends might come here and if we ran across each other we'd laugh our asses off and do a high five. As for any of my family, extremely unlikely.

There is a reason I don't post my face picture on here or most other sites. I have been on sites that people I knew were on as well. One was an old boyfriend who was the one who actually got me started on that sight and the other was a women I used to be friends with but took a horrible turn in real life. I am being kind when I say horrible.I have also run into people I knew casually.I avoid them as best I can. I try very hard to make sure they don't know who I am.If it got to bad I would just leave the site in most cases. I just don't want more drama in my life, I have to much as it is and nothing personal but this site doesn't mean enough to me to have it interfere with my day to day life.

I never told anybody this, but a girl from college tried to use my membership, to WN, as a way to get ahead in college. She thought I'd be embarrassed enough to drop out of the class, making her the center of attention. It didn't work, actually it backfired big time on her. I owned up to it and stood my ground. My classmates and the teacher were kind of intrigued by the way I described you all, at the time, and I even got a couple of phone numbers & a few raised eyebrows, like they were checking me out, every time I passed them in the hallway for that semester. One girl encouraged me to hook up with someone, who no longer comments on here anymore, but I couldn't travel at the time, only corresponding with her by private email and sharing them with her. She gave me great insight into the female perspective on long distance romances and letter writing.

The reality is that in business I definitely wouldn't be able to have had it known I was on these types of sites. I also wouldn't want my children to be put in an uncomfortable position so I wouldn't want anyone that might know us through school or social activities to know I was on these sites because it could be a problem for my children and that would bother me more than anything.
Like I said I had one horrible situation but the web site could not be used against me because I had more uncomfortable things on her than she did on me so she was smart and just dropped the issue for the most part. It is a very long story and I would not get into it anyway.Unfortunately these days we are judged by what people seem to think is acceptable and it could even effect a child's college acceptance or job application if there is a connection made. There are companies that specialize in researching peoples on-line activities and that includes what friends and family they have on their lists so they don't embarrassed or get looked at in a bad way if they are part of their organization. They have moral clauses in most contracts these days as well. I know in my contract with my company there was a moral clause and it was very clear.I always caution people to not be to trusting and just post their pictures on everything. Even if you don't, someone else might use your picture or edit your picture in a way that can hurt you or people you care about.I definitely don't want to complicate that by having contact with people that can hurt the people I care about.

always that possibility that you might run into some one ya know, a family member , Friends, costumer's and so one , like newbie says no face pics, we need that degree of discreetness.....some folks are not too worried about it, depends were you are at i guess and what ya do

I am new here, and to the adult chat room world quite honestly. I have met some amazing people here - you guys have genuine friendships, cyber or not. The card and comments for Perv - HOW can someone condemn that! I am really honored to be so welcomed here.
IMO this is better & safer than a bar room to meet people - and for all of us who area married - we are still being faithful, IMO.
Too many judges in the world today!

I agree with you Jlee. It is safe and the people on here are very nice. Like every site you will meet those you get along with and those you don't but we are real people so that is to be expected.I was lucky enough to meet the love of my life on here so "real" life does cross over if you choose to let it happen as well. People have good and bad as you have seen with Perve's situation now. This site is different than many others because it is relatively small so we get to know each other pretty well if we choose to. It's up to you how much you want to get involved. But if you choose to make friends I think you will be happy with that choice.
