Daring or just plain STUPID!
One of the family members of THE Flying Wallendas (Nick) is doing a new stunt. He says this time he wont even be wearing the tether line for safety.I have never understood this. I think if someone does a stunt or trick its the stunt or trick that is great or not. NOT having a net or tether line or other safety backup is just stupid. For me it doesn't add to the stunt. If anything I would not go to it or bring my children to see it if they don't use safety equipment. For one thing it goes against everything I have taught my kids about using safety equipment. I also don't want to see someone (and definitely don't want my kids to see) someone fall to their death if something goes wrong.I never understood this "It's better if I can die doing it" mentality. I have kids that are into high adventure sports and it scares the hell out of me that so many of these stunt guys basically say its cool to not use the safety equipment available because it gives you a bigger rush.I watched my son jump off a ledge of a mountain with no safety gear once. I didn't know there was a ledge there that he jumped too.He thought it was funny. I didn't. I told him that even though there was a ledge it would have been very easy to have slipped or lost his balance and fallen.
High adventure is dangerous enough with the safety gear, it's crazy to do it without the gear.I don't think these guys that do these shows should be allowed to do them with out nets or other safety gear. We are not allowed to kill ourselves for medical reasons but you can commit suicide by stupidity if you do it in front of an audience for no reason other than fame? I don't get it.

. Thx Syb. Getting better. But did have one serious moment today. Thats an improvement. Have other things like her belongs to donate, write her a goodbye, which Im nit ready to yet, too soon. That will be a a major, major moment. Except you guys here, I really have no suppirt close. Appreciate, appreciate. Now her cat and I will be sharing a tv dinner. She is getting excited about it. I take it back. Her cat ate most the mac and cheese, my cat helped with the fish sticks.
