Big Brother Is Watching
It seems that at some point, I started to create a Linkedin profile. I got an email this morning informing me of "updates" and at the bottom of the page, the site recommended "people you may know". Well, one of the four recommendations was a member from here. Keep in mind, I dont have anything on the profile other than my name. No interests, no professional information, no experience information, hell, I dont even have my location listed. I will admit that this member and I email back and forth a lot, usually several times a day and and the occasional phone calls. But other than that, there really isn't a lot that would tie us together. Hell, we even live over 1000 miles apart. Makes ya wonder what others are watching with your online activity

My oldest son, a senior federal agent, told me all about the drones. They see it all. He called me from Washington D.C., let me know he was overlooking the pentagon. Btw, brag, brag, brag.

Interesting article in the papers this weekend about electronic communication. We're considering a law restricting the amount and duration that an ISP keeps data for. When a question was asked in parliament if the same rules would apply to overseas organisations there was a quiet 'no comment' as the CIA have a vast DB of this information...

Re: Big Brother Is Watching
Haven't you ever noticed you get ads based on what you have viewed , purchased or sometimes I feel just things I thought about?
9/11 has less to do with it than most people think. And ISP's are REQUIRED to track and store this information as well as hand it to the feds on demand. This is not new nor should it be a surprise. EVERY TRANSACTION you make is tracked. Every inquiry is tracked. Where you go in your car is tracked where you walk to with your phone weather you use it or not is tracked.Even when you change the channel it is tracked through your cable boxes and now your tv's.Everytime you use a coupon, sale flier, credit, debit card, ATM, frequent shopper card etc. it is tracked. EVERY bank transaction even if you are not at your bank and you cash a check at a bank that the check is written on you are tracked. Almost every place you go has cameras with face recognition and you are tracked. If you ever had a job or job interview you are tracked. If you went to school you are tracked.
So you can get paranoid , or except it. Your only other choice is to fight against the government however, if expect it to change for the better you are delusional. They have found ways to track the people of the world and that kind of power is not given up easily.
