Craigslist Personals
We used to have a member here who bragged about his superiority in the art of cunnilingus. Then bragged about all of his conquests on Craigslists from ads that he had posted and all of the women who contacted him to have their slits licked. There's no doubt that people post ads like that, swingers , girls that are lonely looking to have sex that afternoon, 2 girls looking for a guy, etc. But would ya ever actually answer one, much less show up for one?

That guy...put me off even browsing ads on craigslist.
A local radio station does a craiglists freak of the week contest, they choose the most freakisk outrageous ads and listeners vote for the best (worst? ) one.

Nope. Too many wackooo's out there. There have been to many cases of people answering any Craigslist ad, only to be a victim of a brutal crime or worse yet, killed. Just not worth the risk.

i just heard a story on the radio about something very similar. police are using Craig's List and Back Pages dot something to bust prostitutes, pimps, and johns. the DJ commented on how stupid the police were to publicly announce that they were using the sites to set up sting ops. now the offenders will just start using a different website to look for sex...

In my area we have the, "Craigslist Vigilante." He/she monitors craigslist like a hawk. Every woman who posts on the site an ad in the, " casual encounters " section gets flagged every hour on the hour. If you don't see the ad and respond to it immediately, it won't exist the next minute. It's gotten so bad that very few women even post an ad for anything. Guys can post all they want, but the woman's section is the one they monitor and flag. I just went on there and there's maybe twenty posts in the past two months. Everyone of them is, "flagged for removal." (w4m) The guys section (m4w), have twenty pages for the same time, and only one, maybe two, have been even flagged.

I've bought and sold a few guitars on Craigslist, and it always worked out to be a good deal for me.
I've also used it to advertise for musicians when putting bands together. On my youtube videos of gigs, all of the guys with me were people I met via craigslist. 4 people in particular have become very close, personal friends.
I also check out the "free" section. Most of it is absolute garbage, but I did find a Realtor that was getting rid of 3000 square feet of Berber carpet from a model home because the people that bought the house wanted hardwood floors instead. This stuff was basically brand new and hardly needed a cleaning.
Craigslist can be as good or as bad as you make of it, but ya really do have to use caution

The only time I was ever on craigs list was years ago. My daughter was pretty young. She had just gotten her cell phone so maybe 14-15. She got a really obscene call. Then another, then another...She tells me whats going on because now she is totally freaked out because these were all adults saying things that freaked her out about wanting to meet some "guy that placed the ad". So next time the phone rang I answered and tried to find out what ad they were getting her number from. The first guy or two hung up but I spoke to one guy and told him I had no interest in getting him in trouble I just want the ad taken down or at least her number removed because she was only a kid. So he told me it was an ad on Craigs list for gay men in a section having to do with BDSM if I remember correctly. That was not a lot to go on so my oldest son and I spent HOURS looking. I was so shocked by some of the ads. I could not believe that the ads were so explicit. I think they have been toned down a bit since then. (Maybe not because I've never been back to check). We never found the ad but I emailed Craigs list and they fixed the number.Now every time someone mentions it to sell or buy anything I just get a bit creeped out.
