When John and Ann Betar got married on November 25, 1932, Franklin D. Roosevelt was president, the 10th summer Olympics were held in Los Angeles, and Radio City Music Hall just opened in New York City.
80 years later, the Betars are being honored this Saturday as holding the title of the longest known marriage in the U.S. Ann is 97 and John is 101. Together they have five children, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

The cutest couple were on the news a few months back, honoring them for 75 years of marriage. When the lady was asked if she had ever considered divorce. She said never divorce but murder occasionally. Her husband just laughed.
