Weirdest Thing You've Ever Eaten
Keep it clean L&H!!!! This is about food!
I just watched a show on the Travel Channel and a guy cut off a bull's clackers, deep fried them and ate them. The next one was a guy catching rattle snakes and cutting the heart out and frying it.
In another thread, Ma said she was making barbequed ribs and smashed taters. I'd rather crash there
When I was a kid, I was brought up on beef tongue, hearts and live. When I got older and found out what it was and how bad it was for you? Nope. Never again. No wonder my aunts and uncles all died of heart attacks at early ages. I'll stick with my spaghetti.
I have eaten shark, and that was pretty good.

Did that too Man. I was playing at this place and while I was singing, I inhaled a mosquito. Thank God there was no West Nile!

Re: Weirdest Thing You've Ever Eaten
We have a game dinner here in Oct....so you name it I've eaten it...caribou, mountain lion, bighorn, buffalo, mountain goat, moose, deer...and yes, even beaver. It's a Canadian version of Fear Factor...sometimes even with the gagging.

Re: Weirdest Thing You've Ever Eaten
Out in Oz I had the Outback Platter which was a smorgasbord of different meats:
- Emu
- Crocodile
- Kangaroo
The emu was a bit like turkey; the crocodile had the texture of chicken but was very bitter but the kangaroo was absolutely delicious (even though I'd been petting a baby one earlier in the day!!)

I've eaten Buffalo, not bad at all, very lean meat. Ants, very bitter, I ate them by accident.

Re: Weirdest Thing You've Ever Eaten
Yes, I've had buffalo too. Actually, because of the low fat and high protein, more and more buffalo ranches are popping up and breeding them specifically for the meat.
I've had ostrich too. For some reason, I had it in my head that it was going to be like other fowl, chicken, turkey, duck etc. Not even close. It was far more like a beef product and really was pretty tasty.
