Sad Anniversary
I purposely waited till this time of day to post this. And Ive done it many times before. John Winston Ono Lennon, shot dead outside of his Manhattan Apartment, the Dakota. I've been playing allot of his music all day. So tragic, so sad, so senseless and so unnecessary.

Re: Sad Anniversary
I remember that day well. Almost like the death of JFK. Lennon was such a talent, with so much more to contribute.

Re: Sad Anniversary
Isn't it strange that some things are engraved into your memory as if it happened an hour ago? I remember that day very well.It was so sad. I think it was sad for many reasons. Obviously he was a great talent. Obviously being killed was just horrific. Obviously he was well known so that made him a bigger target. But it seems even sadder when you think that this was a man that lived his life promoting peace, yet dies so violently. I find people that die in a way that goes against everything they believe just makes it a bit sadder than if they died in another way. It was like when Steve Irwin died from a freak accident of a stingray wound. It just makes you think. He spent his whole life telling people how beautiful and gentle these creatures are , then dies trying to prove it.It just seems so wrong.
