My oldest son, being a senior federal agent told me, technology is a hundred years in advance now. But the general public gets fed it a trickle at a time. "Big brother?" Try going anywhere in public without cameras everywhere, even when we dont see them. Thats no bullshit. We have all seen them. So screw it, when Im in public, gonna do what I do regardless. Come and get me if you can handle the "resistance"lol Truly though, not bragging, just a fact, I am no one to be screwed with. Nuff said. Btw, I am not clothed. Take a pic of that sucker, lol again.

This type of thing has been around for many years. Verizon is trying to patent a specific design. Your cable boxes are already capable of this type of thing as are your TV's. They have a TV on the market that does this already. I have no idea why someone would buy a TV because it has that feature but they do.Your computers do this as well. The difference is HOW they do it.For example, Your computer tracks based on things like web sites, key strokes, purchases etc. They are capable of "watching you" with the cameras on most computers , tv's, phones etc. these days but don't, at this point due to legal issues.If you don't believe me just google the story of the school board that watched their students through the computer cameras on the lap tops they gave students. They never informed the students they would be watched.Advertising was my field. We discussed this for years. We got our information about customers from many different places. I'm sure many of you have cable boxes that let you purchase things by way of your TV remote. That is another tracking device. The cable and broadcasters have been trying to figure a way of using the technology to track individuals for at least 20 years. The cameras were thought to be "to intrusive" for the public to except but they are slowly getting the public used to the idea. You will start to see more and more of this roll out as the public excepts it as part of everyday life.

I saw something on a court tv show where the guy was suing the company that was selling him a laptop. He was making payments on the laptop but was able to keep it while paying it off.
Basically he found out that they were turning his webcam on and taking pictures every hour to make sure that the computer was being used well or whatever....
The court found in favor of the company because it was completely legal.

By the way even when I was in advertising we were able to target an ad to an individual TV in a house through a converter box.I could tell you what you bought at the grocery store and what credit cards you used and what you searched on-line as well as what shows each TV had on and for how long.Then target a commercial to that TV.It's done through things like your credit cards,the discount cards you use to shop with each store , even coupons. As I said before we did target by area and demographic but we didn't go this far only because it was still be argued about the legalities and the fact that consumers would feel uneasy about knowing we had that much info on them. I had a client that was a financial planner. He, trying to impress me did a check on me before I got there. When I sat down he was able to say everything from what credit cards I had to what store I got my groceries and how old my kids are.It's scary how much people can find out about you in a heart beat.
