Got an inch or two of snow. All wet stuff too. We'll have more here with high winds and sub zero temps about the 18 and 19th.

Re: storm warning
We got just a little dusting yesterday, Friday. But they are saying Saturday night and Sunday, we are suppose to get 4-7" of snow with blowing and drifting Sunday afternoon. Looks like a double shift coming for me on Sunday.

I was right in the blizzard part of the radar.
Something about snow makes everyone drive twice as bad as normal, and parking spots become obsolete.

Every time I see the title of this thread I get chills and think not again. It's funny how things can make you change the way you think on a day to day basis. I know ever since my car accident I am a bit more jumpy in a car with others driving now I guess storm warnings will do the same kind of thing to me.

Re: storm warning
I can't ever image me asking for a storm or snow....We had a rain storm AGAIN (I almost want to say still because it hasn't seemed to have stopped in weeks.)And I go out and more limb down off what used to be the healthy tree. This is getting dangerous and tiring to have to pull limbs off the car and driveway everyday.I need to find someone who will take down all these trees for the firewood. It's a shame because I always loved all the trees on my property and when these come down it just wont be the same. But it's starting to seem to be to dangerous to ignore.

Re: storm warning
I suppose calling in a faller wouldn't be cheap there, and then you'll have stumps to deal with. I have thousands of them here, and what i do is call an excavator in and they push the tree down roots and all, then i'll cut the tree off the stump and he'll load it up ,in the dumptruck. Then all you have to deal with is the firewood. If you fall the tree, and just dig out the stump after, the hole and bill are about the same size.

Re: storm warning
I wish but they are to close to the house or the fence or other houses so they have to be cut down. I hate cutting trees. I always liked having many trees in my yard but every year its less and less.I guess the good side is there will be much less raking and no more dents in the cars from acorns.

Not if you cut your own fire wood i'm not, had one of those myself , but blew it to smitherines, I'll send you a pair of orange husky' suspenders to hold up your daisy duke shorts, now THAT is hot. Poulan is a good saw , but sometimes hard to start, and they take a leaner mixture if I remember right.I'll bet you look good with those chips flying.

Yep, the Poulan is a bit hard to start, but works well when fired up. Nope, don't think I look so good cutting wood.... plaid flannel jacket with the quilted lining over the thermal undershirt, worn work jeans, work boots, knit hat, and brown cotton work gloves...
