Re: A big thank you.
Glad you still had a house. Even your electric back on. Most important is that I'm glad you and your family are ok. Things can always be replaced.
I just hope they don't bring all those trailers up from LA.

Re: A big thank you.
Trailers from LA? Sorry but I have no TV so very little information. Have they said something about trailers?
As for my electric. The neighborhood has electric and I turned mine on BUT Its all messed up. If the inspector shuts it down I'm back out.
I just watched a video on my phone that was a news report about the storm . Its the first look I got at what most people have seen. I also had 2 appointments that had me driving out of my town this past week. It' s odd living in a kind of bubble with little information. It made me cry to see what I saw. So much of my life's memories of places That are completely devastated. I drove in areas that were all trees and now leveled fields. I had to go through one town that was on the water. Its now all closed because there was no beach and the sand was blocks inland on the streets.Boats cars and buildings just piled up as if they were kids toys just thrown into a pile.
So strange to look at a place you knew your whole life but it looks completely different now.I can't get over how many people we know that had beautiful homes and now are homeless getting food and clothes and just basic essential items like toothbrushes from the donations that were sent here.

I know B.C. Hydro was sending a large team of linemen in there to help with the power problems.
