just a friendly reminder...please read!
there is to be posting of any sort of personal contact info, whether it be in the forums, or your profile.
that would include the following...
any email addresses.
any phone numbers, for texting or calling.
Facebook or Myspace id.
Skype, Yahoo, Windows Live/MSN/Hotmail instant messenger id.
and last but not least...(it's been an ongoing issue for a little while now) BBM (Black Berry Messenger) pin numbers are considered contact info too, and not allowed.
if i (or any other Moderator) spot any of the above in the forums, it will be deleted immediately. and you WILL get a message from me, reminding you of the rules. that's also true for profile postings too.

i see my fair share of rule breakers here. just wondering hoe many actually read the rules, and defy them to see how long they can get away with it, or if they just don't read them. i thought maybe a reminder would prevent it from happening (or at least cut down on it)

i know. i send at least one warning a day, depending on how long i am able to be on the site. one day i sent eight within 20 minutes.

I would discourage anyone from locking their caps anywhere on the internet(including all private messages). All caps can make even a quite benign comment seem aggressive. Such a misunderstanding can and has lead to bad interactions.
If anyone wants to convey the fact that they are angry then go ahead and lock your caps and shout via the keyboard, it's not illegal, it's just rude, just like raising your voice and yelling a rant in a room full of people. It indicates a lack of self control. Absix is a stickler about the rude stuff, if rude is a person's notion of a good fun time, there's plenty of sites where that kind of fun can be had.
Yes we do have a long list of moderators here. It's not so much about having too many moderators, it's about how many of us can spend time online. This is not full time gainful employment for us, it takes a long list of us to make sure one or two can log in regularly to monitor and take care of things. More moderators does not equal to heavy policing.
Hobos comment is correct, no info in the forums and profiles. You can exchange info by private message and you can in the chatroom but at a risk to your privacy and security if you should get too loose with any of your private contact information.

Why do I have the overwhelming feeling ..that your not talking about the branding party anymore. I'm not real sure how I feel about this "whipping boy" thing..although I'm oddly curious in a fearful sorta way.
